The Sims 3: Seasons revealed!
Here I am with another Sim 3 update. As everyone can probably tell I love the Sims line of games. I couldn't help but jump up and cheer when I saw the next expansion. The Sims 3: Seasons!!! If anyone is familiar with the previous Sims 2 game you will remember they had a seasons expansion. They've brought it to the Sims 3 now. So that means your Sims can now experience Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter. Your Sims can go for a walk in the rain with an umbrella, bob for apples, attend festivals in the city and enter a haunted house during Halloween! This game looks awesome and I'm going to be giddy until it comes out!

Sam Raimi Presents The Possession Trailer
After watching the trailer I have to say I am getting excited to see this movie. Give the trailer a look and let me know what you think!
The Possession is a movie about a little girl who finds and antique box that contains an ancient and malevolent spirit. The girls father teams up with his ex-wife to try and find a way to lift the curse from their daughter (Sounds interesting)

Four Geeks, Four Interviews
Day 2: Kyle Moffat
Alright! In day two of our Four Geeks, Four Interviews series I interviewed games geek Kyle Moffat. He gave us some more insight into what trends he sees coming in the gaming world as well as what he likes about being a part of our team! Let's get things started!
Q: Hello Kyle, I just wanted to say you’ve done a fantastic job with your contributions to the site and the podcast. My first question for you today is what book was the first game to ever get you hooked? And why?
A: Hello Jon. Thanks for having me! I've had a great time working with my fellow podcasters and writing on the site. I think everyone is doing such a great job. I can say confidently, that the first game that ever got me hooked was Mortal Kombat 3. I couldn't stop playing the game. It was the first fighter style game I had ever played and the characters and they're unique abilities are what made the game for me. There was, at the time, so much variety with the characters. Plus, watching a game character have his spine ripped out was just awesome
Q: What is your favourite game of all time and why?
A: Picking a favorite game of all time is a tough one. If I had to chose one though I would probably say it was Mortal Kombat. If I had to pick a specific Mortal Kombat I'd have to pick the newest Mortal Kombat that was released in 2011. It had all of the features of the original Mortal Kombat games that made them so awesome. A wide variety of characters, over-the-top gore , multiple stages WITH stage fatalities, and plenty of replay value. Mortal Kombat games have always held a special place in my heart.
Q: Do you enjoy working on the site and the podcast?
A: I love working on the site and podcast. It gives me an opportunity to talk about video games, books, and movies I love and want to share with others. Plus, working with the other podcasters makes it that much more enjoyable
Q: What does Four Geeks And A Pizza! mean to you?
A: It's a place I can talk with friends about topics I very much enjoy that I wouldn't get to about in such depth with others. It's where I can geek out on a particular topic and listen to others opinions on the topic. I can spend time with friends, AND eat pizza
Q: If there was one question you could ask the listeners of Four Geeks And A Pizza! what would it be?
A: What else would they like to see? What do we do that they enjoy and if my voice sounds weird??
Q: Out of the three other geeks who would you say is the most entertaining?
A: That's a tough question. I think that the geeks are all entertaining in their own individual way. Jon is definitely the serious one out of the bunch of us. He's the one keeping direction and making sure we all stay on topic. But he's funny too and likes to joke around with us. Jason is the talker. He likes the topics we talk about and he always has a definitive opinion and will let you know. Meagan is like my partner in crime. She's funny and interested in many great topics and always keeps everyone smiling. If I had to pick the most entertaining I would say Meagan. She's the one who joins me on the quest to annoy Jason and Jon!
Q: If you could have created any video game which one would it have been?
A: If I could have created any game I would say it would have been Psi-Ops: The Mindgate Conspiracy. It's an old game that was for the Xbox. You played a character who had a couple psychic powers and had to fight others like yourself. It was a game that pretty much took over a year of my life, and if I could I would probably still be playing it today from time to time.
Q: What is your favourite console and why?
A: My favorite console would have to be the Xbox 360. I have always been an Xbox fan and am still loyal to them. I played the same games with Xbox 360 and PS3 and have to say I preferred the Xbox 360 every time. I feel the Xbox 360 has less pop-in, quick loading textures, more detailed characters and environments, and runs smoother while doing all of the above. It also had a wider selection of games available for it that I enjoy, and I like the Xbox Live feature over the PlayStation store.
Q: Do you think the Podcast should focus on games more often?
A: I think we could use a little more game talk. I don't think we don't give games any attention but I do feel we could talk about them a bit more. We'd have to get the podcasters playing more games though
Q: Jon has stated that his goal with the podcast was to have a place that started a discussion amongst people with similar interests and bring something interactive to the website. Do you think there are any other goals the group is trying to achieve? If so what would they be?
A: I think we are achiving Jon's goal perfectly. We are letting the listeners interact with us as we discuss topics and I feel we are steadily gaining listeners. I feel we are still stirivng for Jon's goal and that it still is our primary focus.
Q: Do you think the podcast will be something that lasts a long time?
A: I do think so yes. It's a place for people to talk about their interests and interact with us. I think there will always be people that would enjoy that and the podcast will continue because of that.
Q: What things would you change about the podcast?
A: I don't think there is much I would change about the podcast. I feel that it is in a great place at the moment and we will adapt as we need to. I think it would be fun to have more viewer input days though. It's nice to hear what other have to say about the podcast and website
Q: What things wouldn’t you change about it?
A: I wouldn't the entire podcast. At the moment I think we are at a good place and will continue towards more good things. I wouldn't change the topics we discuss, and I wouldn't change the way we do things. I feel we are doing a great job
Q: Do you feel that you are the authority on games when it comes to the rest of the group?
A: I don't want to think of myself as the only games playing member. I do feel that I have more experience with video games and play a variety of them. I know the other members each have their own video games they play but I do feel that I play the most out of all of us
Q: Are there any new features that you are planning on bringing to the website or the podcast?
A: I would like to post more often on books and games I have played but there is nothing for sure that I am planning at the moment
Q: What do you think Jon.com has accomplished in the first year of running the website?
A: I think we have accomplished a lot. The Jon.com website has expanded and come to include the 4 geeks own individual pages to talk about their interests. It has added a podcast that, I believe, has a great group of passionate co-hosts and listeners.
Q: What did you think about the fact that Jon wanted to change the site to Four Geeks And A Pizza.com?
A: I think it was a great idea. The website has expanded to include so much new content than it did in the beginning. It fits to give it a new name as it expands and continues to improve
Q: How do you think games will change over the next ten years? What trends do you see coming?
A: I think we're in for some big changes. I am beginning to see a trend in online games going with the F2P(Free to Play) method. The graphics are continually improving and I can only see them getting more intricate as time passes. Games are beginning to put more of an emphasis on the story. Many of the newer games coming out are beginning to have a deeper and more involving story than games I have played in the past, which helps the player become invested in the characters. I'm looking forward to see what the gaming industry is going to come out with next.
Q: Many films frachises get rebooted. Do you think there are any games franchises that need to be rebooted?
A: I can't think of any games that need to be rebooted. When a game is rebooted it usually ends up being an older game. One of the best reboots I can think of at the moment was the most recent Mortal Kombat game. They pulled features from the previous Mortal Kombat titles that made it great and added them all together in a new updated game. Other than that I can't think of any games at the moment I'd like to have rebooted.
Q: What is your favourite film adaptation of a game?
A: I can't think of very many games that were adapted from films that actually held my interest. If I had to pick one I would have to say Batman Arkham City. I don't know if that counts since, really, it's adapted from the comics. But they did make Batman movies!

I haven't heard about this game very much until today. Injustice is a game by the creators of the popular Mortal Kombat game (Mortal Kombat 9) that was released back in 2011. Injustice: Gods among Us, is a game that uses the same fighting system as Mortal Kombat but is full of your favorite DC characters.
There isn't much released yet about the game but a few characters have been shown on teaser videos. Characters such as, Harley Quinn, Batman, The Flash, Solomon Grundy, Wonder woman and Superman, with many other hinted at being included in the game.
The game is expected to be released sometime in 2013.

Divergent Book Review
I will start off by saying I have never heard of Veronica Roth before I bought this book. This book definitely was was more enjoyable to read than I was expecting.
Divergent is the first in the trilogy. it is a story written in the near-future Chicago. Society has divided into five distinct factions, each dedicated to the development of a specific human virtue. Candor (the honest), Abnegation (the selfless), Dauntless (the brave), Amity (the peaceful), and Erudite (the intelligent). Everyone must chose a faction and on the 16th year of every teenagers life they must chose which faction to devote themselves to. The protagonist, Beatrice, must chose between staying in her faction where she feels she doesn't belong or being who she really is. Beatrice makes a decision that surprises everyone, even herself.
I liked the idea of humans trying to divide themselves into different factions to try and maintain peace. It is a nice idea, but throughout the novel you can begin to see the cracks in this design. The protagonist Beatrice, kicks ass and definitely isn't a helpless heroine. She faces many challenges and is awesome doing it.
All of the characters are flawed in their own way, but they have believable flaws that help the reader to connect and keep the story fresh and exciting. The story is easy to follow and full of plot twists and mysteries that will keep you intrigued as you read through Beatrice's incredible journey. I read this book is almost one sitting and if you're into these books you will have a hard time putting it down. I recommend this book to anyone who has a interest in utopian novels or enjoyed reading fun action packed novels.

The Host Teaser Trailer
The teaser has been out for a few weeks now but I thought I would bring it to everyone's attention.
Stephanie Meyer's book The Host has been made into a movie. For those of you who are not familiar with the plot, The Host is about Earth after it has been invaded by aliens that invade the minds of humans, while leaving their body intact. They are able to control humans, read their memories and are vulnerable to human emotions. Humanity hasn't been entirely taken by these lifeforms and humans free of their control live in hiding. The story is told from the perspective of Wanderer, who has been given Melanie's body. Melanie, however, has refused to relinquish her mind to Wanderer. The two then battle it out as Wanderer feels Melanie's love for a man that is still living in hiding.
Being a fan of the Twilight series, then finishing the books and not feeling any closure or satisfaction, I was a little skeptical to pick up this book. But after finishing the book I have to say that it was a very enjoyable novel. I am looking forward to seeing more about this movie, and the excitement is beginning for the movie's release in 2013.

Kyle premiers on Jon.com!
Welcome, Welcome!
You have ventured into Kyle's Crypt! Which, by the way, isn't as cryptic as the name suggests.
Firstly, I would like to thank Jon for adding me to his Jon.com empire and giving me my own page!
I've had an awesome time participating in the Four Geeks and a Pizza podcast and I look forward to chatting with the crew in many more podcasts to come.
I'm a gamer at heart which will show on my personal page. I am not well versed with the comic book world, but I am striving to learn as much as I can from Jon and my other great co-hosts. I, like Meagan, love to read and will be posting on recent books I have read. I am a self proclaimed Trubie! (True Blood obsession) and will work on keeping my page from being overrun by True Blood paraphernalia.
I look forward to hearing from everyone and I can't wait to continue being a part of Jon.com :)
