Agent Coulson To Make An Appearance In Pilot Episode Of Marvel's S.H.I.E.L.D.
Actor Clark Gregg is set to reprise his role from the Avengers movies as Agent Coulson in the upcoming pilot for Marvel's S.H.I.E.L.D. TV series. This is strange news seeing as Coulson dies in The Avengers but good none-the-less. Can't wait to see him back.

Thursday TV Bin- Alias
Thursday TV Bin- Alias
J.J. Abrams follow up to Felicity, was a Spy show called Alias. Sydney Bristow played fantastically by Jennifer Garner, was your ordinary average College Student who just happened to be an undercover agent or double agent for that matter. The show had many elements of Science Fiction including some of the technology and the search for artifacts created by Milo Rambaldi. This show was serialized and ran for 5 seasons from 2001 to 2006 on ABC. The first episode of this series really captures your attention and I would say the first 2 seasons are probably some of the best television that has been produced. The series had a strong supporting cast including Sydney Bristows father Jack Bristow (played superbly by Victor Garber) also a double agent, Arvin Sloane (Ron Rifkin) the head of SD-6 and one evil bastard, Marcus Dixon (Carl Lumbly) Sydney’s partner with SD-6, Marshall Flinkman (Kevin Weisman) the Tech guy for SD-6, and lastly Michael Vaughn (Michael Vartman) who plays Sydneys handler for the CIA. They also had some great supporting characters played by Amy Acker, Rachel Nichols, Greg Grunberg, Bradley Cooper and that bastard Sark portrayed by David Anders.
The series is action packed, stylishly directed and as stated previously has elements of Science Fiction. I was instantly hooked from the first episode and found Jennifer Garner to be simply amazing during the whole run of the series. I didn’t love everything to do with this series but I did love her character. Of course there is also romance and family drama thrown into the mix. I think if you like JJ Abrams work and if you like Spy thrillers and Buffy the Vampire Slayer then you will enjoy this. 24, Lost and Buffy happen to be 3 of my favourite shows so Alias really was a delight for me. I must admit that during seasons 3 and 4 it went downhill, it tried to re-invent itself in season 5 which worked partially. But overall the series is well worth watching.

Thursday TV Bin Playmakers
With the NFL season upon us there is no better time than to put Playmakers in the TV Bin. Playmakers aired on ESPN from August until November of 2003. It was one of the highest rated shows on ESPN but was cancelled due to pressure from the NFL. The NFL did not like how it portrayed it’s players and owners. The show lasted 11 episodes. It revolved around the fictional team The Cougars. They never identified their city. Some of the storylines were based on events that happened in the NFL. The main characters were Demetrius Harris known as DH (Omar Gooding) a rookie running back with a drug problem. Kelvin “Buffalo” James (Marcello Thedford) an offense lineman and DH’s best buddy on the team. Derek McConnell (Christopher Wiehl) beaten up starting quarterback with a sex addiction and pain killer addiction problems. Eric Olcyzk (Jason Matthew Smith) a star middle linebacker who is haunted by his devastating hit that left another player paralyzed. Leon Taylor (Russell Hornsby) a veteran running back trying to make it back after an injury. And finally rounding out the main cast is Coach George (Anthony John Denison), the head coach of 9 years who is dealing with his own issues.
The tv show was very interesting although there wasn’t much footage of actual football. The characters were pretty interesting and some of the storylines were damn addictive to watch. I liked the fact that it was about football since I am a big football fan. The best I can describe this show is as a male soap opera.

Sons of Anarchy Season 5 Episode 1 Sovereign recap. Plenty Of Spoilers be warned
Sons of Anarchy Season 5 Episode 1 Sovereign
The episode starts off with a voice over by Jax. He is writing in his diary or possibly his own manifesto which will be left for Able. We see a montage of clips including an oxygen needing Clay moving into his new place, and we see Gemma taking it from behind from Nero (Jimmy Smits), and Tara smoking a spliff while sitting in the bathtub. Chibbs and Tig get Jax ready for the shipment run. The Niners were waiting for them and ambushed and flipped the truck. They then set it on fire. Jax was able to save newly voted in member Phil. None of the Sons were hurt. Jax decided to hide the guns and drugs in the bushes to avoid them being found by the police.
The next morning Jax and Tara discuss the nights events. Jax informs her no one was hurt and that every decision they make will be a family decision. She also informs Jax that she will be bringing both kids into daycare and that Gemma will no longer be needed for babysitting purposes. Meanwhile Gemma wakes up in the nude, not knowing where the hell she is. She see’s two other naked girls. She goes to her handbag to get a gun and in comes Nero. She holds the gun up at him. Nero tells her that they met in a bar and that she was wild and they had a good time. He also informs Gemma he is a Companionater (Nice word for a pimp). Later on he informs Gemma that she was the one that brought in the two women, and she gives him her phone number on his business card. At one point in the episode Nero calls her and she also has gets his phone number.
Next up is Pineys memorial. Clay refused to attend. Jax speaks with Opie telling him that Clay had to stay alive for a reason and he is sorry he can’t tell him why. He tells Opie he not to worry that the Gavel won’t turn him into another Clay, Opie says he isn’t worried about him turning into another Clay he is more worried about himself turning into the next Jax. Jax seemed pretty taken back by these words but let them slide because he knows his friend is hurt. Gemma heads home and finds Unser and some Sons in her house taking out the rest of Clay’s stuff. Clay is inside the bedroom looking for a ring. Gemma finds it for him and her and Clay have a bit of a heart to heart. Clay informs her that it was the soldier in him that drove him to such lengths as killing Piney, trying to have Tara killed and punching her. He said he loved her and that he would take to the grave her involvement in the murder of JT. Gemma starts to cry and when Clay puts a hand on her to comfort her she knocks him to the ground saying he will never put a hand on her again.
Jax meets up with the Romeo and asks him to set up a meet with Damon Pope. Without the meet it will be bad for business for both the cartel and for the Sons. Romeo reminds Jax that it is integral that the Rico information remains secret. Jax also informs Romeo that it is important that Jax keep the fact that Romeo and his boys are working for the Feds a secret. He stated that if the street were to find out no one would buy product from the Galindo cartel. Romeo tells Jax that he guesses they need each other. Bobby was sprung from the joint because the Rico file couldn’t stick. Jax asks Romeo to keep looking into who the rat within the club is. He said Otto was giving up intel on prior Sons actions but that there had to be someone giving up the current information too like where the big meet was.
Meanwhile back at Teller-Morrow Sheriff Roosevelt asks some Tig, Juice, Happy and Chibbs about the truck burning and a few break in’s at people house who are associates with the Sons. None of them give him any information. Bobby comes back at that time and everyone ignores the Sheriff and greets Bobby. Roosevelt informs Juice that if he hears anything about the Niners coming into Charming he better inform him as a professionally courtesy. The club meet as church and vote in all 3 of the Nomad bikers. Clay then makes a shocking admittance, that he was the one that killed Piney and that Otto shot him. He left out the part about JT and left out anything to do with Jax holding a knife to his throat. He informs the club that they can vote him out if they want. Jax says that they will give it a few days to digest the info and then vote. Jax also says that with Opie taking time away from the club, that Bobby will be his VP. Clay and Jax speak afterwards and Jax asks Clay what his play is. Clay says there is no play, he just wants to do best for the club. He then asks Jax why he didn’t kill him, Jax also states he wants to do what is best for the club.
Damon Pope met with Darnell and the rest of the Niner Lieutenants. He informed them that their beef with the Son’s would end. Darnell informed him that they looked weak if they did that and that it was their leader Laroy. Damon Pope’s right hand man August Marks shows Darnell what they do to people when they don’t listen. He shows him the decapitated and cut apart body of Laroy. He then informs Darnell that he is the new leader of the Niners. He informs Darnell that with great power comes great responsibility. Darnell responds with “I ain’t no Spider-man.”
The Son’s finally get their meeting with what they think is Damon Pope. The Niners get there first and August Marks tells Darnell and crew to put all their guns on the car. He then hands Darnell a gun and tells him to kill Jax Teller as per Damon Pope. Jax, Chibbs, Happy and Bobby show up and are told by August to put their guns on the car. He then tells Darnell and Jax to hash it out. Darnell pulls the gun and pulls the trigger but nothing comes out. Jax and Darnell fight and Jax gets the upper hand winning. August Marks then shoots Darnell in the head. Chibbs gets in August face asking what is this? August tells Jax that Mr. Pope will be in touch. Jax tells Chibbs that this is Pope’s way of saying he is the man that makes the decisions on who lives and who dies.
Next we get Clay and Tig talking about why Clay lied about it. Tig gets a phone call from the police stating that they have his daughter Dawn on a DUI and that they will release her to Tig if he shows up. Tig goes and shows up but it is an ambush from Damon Pope. Pope informs Tig that he is going to make him understand his pain. He then proceeds to show Tig that they have his daughter Dawn down in a storage pit. Pope’s men pour gasoline on Dawn and Pope throws his cigar onto her lighting her on fire. All while Tig has to watch chained up and unable to do anything. He watches his daughter burn to death.
Gemma and Tara have words over Gemma being able to see Able and Thomas. Tara says that Gemma will not get unsupervised visits with her grandkids until Gemma cleans up her act and stops smelling of booze and weed.
Unser informs Jax that warrants have been issued Jax, Tig and Chibbs for the death of Veronica Pope and for Laroy’s soldier.
Clay tries to ride his bike but is not strong enough and it topples over.
Tig is able to pull his chains under his leg and kill the Cop that brought him to Pope. He then gets his gun and shoots the Cleaner that was brought in to clean up the murders. Tig is off the rails.
Jax, Bobby, Gemma and Tara discuss the next step in them avoiding going to jail. Gemma wants them to go on the run but Tara says that isn’t the way. Bobby sides with Gemma and Jax see’s the rational. That they will be killed in Prison by Pope’s people. The closing montage shows Jax, Gemma, Bobby and Chibbs on bikes, Unser feeding Gemma’s bird. Tara, smoking a joint and listening to Thomas crying. She then turns off the baby monitor to just let him cry. Gemma takes them to Nero’s place. It ends with Unser about to leave Gemma's house and then someone breaks in and puts the beats to him.
So this 90 minute episode was in my opinion fantastic. The scene with Tig being forced to watch his daughter burn to death was an Emmy winner in my mind. Great acting all around, especially Ron Perlman. He plays a wounded Clay so well. I cannot wait to see where the storylines are going to go. How are Jax and the crew going to get out from under Pope’s thumb. What is Tig going to do for retaliation? What is Clay’s play? Gemma seemed to win this round of Gemma vs Tara. What is in store for these two? And who are the bandits breaking into Sons associates houses? I cannot wait till next weeks episode. Like I have told EVERYONE, this is my favourite show on Television. Kurt Sutter is a genius.

Top 10 Favourite TV Theme Songs
This week I thought it would be incredibly fun to count down my Top 10 TV Theme songs. It's one list that I've been holding off on for a while but I think the time has come. I didn't write any comments about any of the theme songs because I thought it would be better for you to listen to the songs' greatness rather than read about me talking about them. Enjoy!
10. Law And Order8. The Simpsons6. Pinky And The Brain4. Buffy The Vampire Slayer2. The Flintstones |
9. The Addams Family7. True Blood5. Cops3. The X-Files1. The Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air |
Funny Moments
"I Love Jesus But I Drink A Little"
I love The Ellen DeGeneres Show and this is one of the best moments ever to grace the talk show. An elderly viewer named Gladys calls Ellen and hilarity ensues.
American Horror Story: Asylum Poster
I for one can't wait for this series to come back to the airwaves. In the meantime we have a poster to look at.

"Man Hands"
In this week's Funny Moments clip Jerry Seinfeld goes on a date with a woman who he feels has "man hands"!
Joss Whedon’s new Marvel/ABC show revealed to be S.H.I.E.L.D
It seems it is all over the blogosphere today that Joss Whedon’s new television show on ABC will be about the covert Government Organization called S.H.I.E.L.D. I for one am very wondering if we will get cameo’s from any actors from his previous shows. I am also wondering if Samuel L. Jackson will show up in any capacity? I also wonder if he will be able to work S.W.O.R.D into the storyline? He was the creator of them in his Astonishing X-Men run. The episode will be co-written by Joss, Jed Whedon and Maurissa Tancharoen. The three worked together on Dollhouse and Dr. Horrible’s Sing A Long Blog. excited about this because I love me some Joss Whedon television. I am a big Whedonite and I seriously cannot wait for this. I will assume that this will probably air September of 2013. Joss has the option of directing the pilot. He also will have former Angel writer Jeffrey Bell working with him again and Jeph Loeb who wrote for Buffy Season 8 comics. In Joss I Trust, so I am totally confident this is going to be amazing.

Top Ten Tuesdays
Top 10 Favourite Scientist Characters
Christopher Lloyd recently appeared at Toronto's Fan Expo 2012 late last week. This week's Top Ten Tuesdays list is dedicated in his honour!
10. Dr. Walter Bishop(Fringe)He’s possibly one of the strangest scientists on TV at the
moment. He’s quite unintentionally funny and feels alienated amongst society,
which is what makes him so quirky. Walter Bishop is caring and loveable, but
his crazy, albeit important and effectual experiments are one of the big
reasons he makes my list. The man also created a way to travel to another
universe. Not many people can top that.
9. Dr. Octopus(The Spider-Man Franchise)Doc Ock is a criminal mastermind who has tried to kill Spider-Man many, many times, although he was unsuccessful. He has four mechanical limbs attached to his spine that make him especially deadly. The evil Otto Octavius even married Peter Parker’s Aunt May. Talk about weird… Dr. Octopus has proven to be a threat to Spider-Man since the beginning.
8. Dr. Zoidberg(Futurama)Possibly the strangest character on the list, Dr. Zoidberg has connected to Futurama’s audience since it started in 2000. He is incredibly weird looking and strange to listen to. His methods are odd, even in the year 3000. Did I mention the fact that he’s also hilarious.
7. Dexter(Dexter's Lab)Any kid who lived in the late 90’s and early 2000’s pretty much LOVED Dexter’s Lab. It was a cartoon about a boy genius who had a secret lab, which his sister(DEE DEE!), despite his distain, was also able to get into. He would create starnge contraptions and set up fun experiments and we ate it up.
6. The Brain(Pinky And The Brain)I’ve never been a fan of Will Ferrell but every now and again he will surprsise me ad come out with something like this. Ferrell and co-star John C. Reilly play grown up step brothers who still live with the parents and don’t get along. As much as I thought the white dog poo scene was disgusting it was utterly hilarious.
5. Dr. Emmett Brown(Back To The Future Series)Back To The Future’s Dr. Brown, played by Christopher Lloyd, is eccentric. He and Marty McFly develop a real bromance over the course of the films. Doc’s behavior is perhaps summarized best in the opening sequence of the film, which displays a bunch of his inventions making a rather huge mess.
4. Dr. Alan Grant(Jurassic Park Series)Alan Grant is the first father-figure kind of character to make this list. He displays that despite his lack of interest in kids he sure can take care of them, even in the worst of situations. The paleontologist, is brought to Isla Nublar to take a tour of an amusement park, which features real live Dinosaurs. Then everything goes to hell. Perhaps Dr. Grant displays more than anyone else on this list that knowledge truly is power.
3. Agent(Dr.) Dana Scully(The X-Files)In my opinion this is the best of the Judd Apatow comedy features. The film stars Jonah Hill and Michael Sarah who are awesome in their respective roles as Seth and Evan. I think what makes this movie so awesome is it probably reminds me more of my high school experience than any other movie. It is so much about who’s cool and who’s not but focuses a little more on a bunch of social clicks that are welcoming to eachother. In most other movies the nerds wouldn’t be invited to the party. Christopher Mintz-Plasse also does a fantastic job in this movie as Fogul A.K.A. McLovin.
2. Bunsen And Beaker(The Muppets)I seriously think I don’t need to justify this one.
1. Peter Parker/ Spider-ManPeter Parker was always interested in science. He created his own web shooters, helped to develop different serums and potions to varying degrees. And always used his knowledge of chemistry to his advantage. He is one of the more relatable scientist characters and for this I think he deserves to be at the top of the list. Everyone wants to be as smart and as kind as Spider-Man and looks up to him as a hero.

True Blood Season 5
Episode 12: "Save Yourself"
In the season 5 finale of True Blood, we see Eric finally kill Russell Edgington, staking him right after he drinks the elder faery’s blood. He then saves Sookie from Nora. Eric then convinces Sookie and Jason to help them take down the Vampire Authority.
Throughout the episode Jason sees his parents, which in turn brings back his hatred of vampires.
Luna transformed into Steve Newlin in order to save her daughter Emma. She ends up having a terrific moment in front of a news camera, while Sam makes one of the best kills of the episode(possibly of the season).
Morella makes Andy take responsibility of his new babies after a fantastically funny Merlotte’s birth scene.
Meanwhile, Alcide drinks some vamp blood and kills J.D., taking over the pack.
Eric, Sookie, Bill, and Tara free Pam and Jessica. It is revealed that Tara and Pam were actually together. Eric and Sookie confront Bill after he kills Salome. After Bill drinks Lillith’s blood once again he becomes a stronger(?) vampire.
I thought the finale left everything wide open. Very few questions were answered. They must be leading up to something epic next season because this season had literally no pay-off.

True Blood Season 5
Episode 11: "Sunset"
Yay! We’re back! After a brief hiatus our True Blood recap returns. This week we discuss the 10th episode of Season 5!
In this episode we start to see that Lillith may be controlling the vamps even more than we originally thought. Bill is on his highly religious kick and orders Jessica to sire Jason. She isn’t a fan of the idea and ends up saving him.
The Military decides to force an ultimatum on the vamps, telling them they can either mainstream or the human race will be after them.
Sookie is taken to meet the faerie elder who seems a little off her rocker. Jason leads Russell and Steve to the Faeries. Russell then kills the elder and the Faerie night club is revealed to him.
Sam, Luna, Pam, and Jessica are now being held captive by the authority.
An interesting episode to say the least. Let’s hope we get an amazing season finale next week!

Sam, Luna, Pam, and Jessica are now being held captive by the authority.
An interesting episode to say the least. Let’s hope we get an amazing season finale next week!

Funny Moments
"Lafayette's AIDS Burger"
This moment is hilarious mostly because it's badass. Lafayette from True Blood decides to defend himself against negative comments about his cooking. You can view the clip below.
Thursday TV Bin Battlestar Galactica (2003)
Thursday TV Bin Battlestar Galactica (2003)
The reimagining of Battlestar Galactica started with a 2 part 3 hour mini series in 2003. The mini series kept the names of the main characters from the 1978 series but changed the tone. This new and vastly improved Battlestar Galactica was dark. Dark as hell.
Ronald D. Moore created this version of the Television show. It aired on the SciFi network and the UK’s Sky Network. The series was based on the invasion of Cylons, which were workers created by mankind. These robotic workers turned on humankind. And all that is left in the galaxy escaped and were protected by the one Battleship that survived which was the Battlestar Galactica. The humans used to live on what was called the 12 Colonies. Roughly 50,000 people survived the Cylon attacks. The Cylons in this series looked and acted like humans. The survivors had a rough go of it as they searched for a new home and had to avoid annihilation from the Cylons. Relationships were created, loyalties were tested.
I really enjoyed the series and watched all the way till the end. I think much like with Lost, there was no way they were going to end this series with all fans being satisfied. The televisions how lasted for 4 seasons from 2004 until 2009. The series starred Edward James Olmos as Commander William Adama, He is the Commander of the Galactica. Mary McDonnell starred as President Laura Roslin. Jamie Bamber portrayed the role of Lee “Apollo” Adama, Kara “Starbuck’s” Thrace played amazingly by Katee Sackhoff, James Callis as Dr. Gaius Baltar, the beautiful Canadian Tricia Helfer as Caprica 6, gorgeous Grace Park as Boomer or Athena and my favourite character Tahmoh Penikett as Karl “Helo” Agathon.
In closing I would like to say I loved Battlestar Galactica. It was very difficult to watch at times and sometimes I found that the religious overtones of the series bogged it down for me. But as I have always said Battlestar Galactica is art. It is Science Fictions version of an artistic drama.

GOOD TV - Lost Girl
GOOD TV
Okay. Now, since this is my debut to Four Geeks And A Pizza! I’m going to keep this piece short.
I’m a fan of good TV and lately I’ve been staying close to home for it. Here are just a few of those shows I love and probably why you love them too.
The love and faedom for this show is incredible so I’m placing Lost Girl on the top of my list. I’m going to gush a bit but the cast. As they are absolutely faetastic and the best group of people I’ve met. Two of my fave moments came last year at Fan Expo when Rick Howland and K.C. Collins knew me from my twitter name J and then despite how long the day had been and how long the line had been Ksenia Solo took a moment to snap a quick picture with me that was another highlight. *Made my Con.
So why do I love this show besides the amazing cast? I love watching this show because of the great stories and the characters. Bo is such a complex and intriguing character you can’t help but want to follow her. Despite the fact she’s a smoking hot succubus, there’s something human about her. Her struggles in finding her way, identity resonates well with me. Then there’s the cool relationships Bo-Kenzi, Team Dyson, Team Lauren, Trick-Bo and Hale-Dyson so many so little time. All these relationships and friendships are handled with such thought and care you can’t help but love them, root for them.
Let’s not forget the bad guys and monsters. I love how the monsters are your typical monsters. There have been a few but The Garuda was one of my faves and the story line behind it kept me on the edge of my seat, who was good who was bad is never who or what you think of on this show. S1 E7 ArachnoFaebia OMG kept me on my toes and took my dislike for spiders to a new level. There was also the Kappa in S1 E3 which was a fantastic episode filled with the right mix of laughter and thriller that makes Lost Girl such a great show to watch. Okay, so that’s my love for Lost Girl. From it’s great writing and storytelling, to an amazing cast on and off the screen it’s one of those shows that makes you say: "Now That’s Good TV".
Stay Tune for Part 2 of GOOD TV

Top Ten Tuesdays
Top 10 Favourite TV Villains
This was one of the most difficult lists for me as there are so many villains out there and they generally are some of the best characters out there. Let's count 'em down!
10. Sue Sylvester(Glee)Sue seems to have a love-hate relationship with the glee club at McKinley High. Most of the time she goes out of her way to sabotage them and the rivalry between her and Will Schuster is quite hilarious at times. Played phenominally by Jane Lynch, the woman is one of the funniest parts of the show and always leaving you questioning her motives. She is what made Glee what it was in the first few seasons. Unfortunately, the show has started to go downhill.
9. Maryann Forrester(True Blood)Mary-Ann is a supe(supernatural being) called a Maenad. First, appearing in the final episodes of season 1, Maryann gives Tara a place to stay after her mother abandons her. Tara and her new boyfriend Eggs fall under the control of Mary Ann's power. Forrester puts the whole town under a spell and searches for Sam Merlott to sacrifice to the god Dionysus. Maryann is a manipulative b**** and is underestimated throughout the course of season 2. She proves to be a force to reckon with.
8. Marnie Stonebrook/Antonia(True Blood) Marnie is a witch who is possessed by another witch from the past, Antonia. Antonia hates vampires after they raped and killed her in Spain. Marnie and Antonia cast a spell over Eric and make hime forget who he is and all the horrible things he has done, making him as cuddly as kitten. Together, they attempt to make all vampires walk out into the sun to meet their true death. These two ladies eventually go mad with anger and hold hostages inside a magic shop, leading to an epic second-last episode of season 4.
7. Mr. Charles Montgomery Burns(The Simpsons)This character is as he would say.... EXCELLENT!! Mr. Burns is Homer Simpson's boss at the nuclear plant who constantly forgets Simpson's name. Throughout the series Burns has done many mischievious things such as block out the sun and use six pack rings to capture sea animals and turn them into Little Lisa Slurry. He is also frequently asking Smithers to release the hounds and evades charities in every possible way.
6. Eric Cartman(South Park)This little shit is probably the most evil little kid anyone has every seen on television. As displayed in an episode, he puts Bart Simpson to shame. It's quite possible that one of the most despicable(yet strangely hilarious) things Cartman has ever done was make Scott Tenorman eat his own parents and then licking the tears of his face. Cartman has also notably supported a fight between his two handicapped "friends" Timmy and Jimmy. Cartman is the most selfish, rude little guy on TV, and frankly it's hilarious.
5. Theodore "T-Bag" Bagwell(Prison Break)T-Bag is potentially one of the most manipulative characters on TV in recent years. He is a rapist, pedophile, and murder trying to escape prison. While in prison he will stop at nothing to make sure he is included in whatever plans Michael Scofield and his brother have to escape. When he's on the outside he slithers around doing anythign and everything he has to to not get caught.
4. Ava Moore(Nip/Tuck)The villain that makes the show in the show's second season. Ava begins to mentor the surgeons' young son Matt as a life coach. They become romantically and sexually involved. This causes tension between Matt and his family. Ava continues to manipulate them all for the rest of the season. We soon find out that she has also had sexual relations with her own son, who is Matt's age and that opens up a whole new can of worms. Her story arc is among the best the show ever had. Famke Janssen, who plays Ava, is enthralling the whole way through.
3. Mayor Richard Wilkins(Buffy The Vampire Slayer)The Mayor is one of Buffy's best villains. He is a father figure to slayer-gone-bad, Faith, and encourages her to "come to the dark side" in a sense. He becomes the "big bad" or main villain of season 3. The best part of the mayor is that he always seems so chipper despite the fact that he is an evil demon that is planning on changing to his demon form(a huge worm thing) at the Scooby Gang's high school graduation. This makes for one of the best season finales in the history of TV as far as I am concerned.
2. Spike(Buffy The Vampire Slayer)Let's put it this way, before Spike came around in season 2, Buffy never had a villain to truly intimidate her. In Spike's first major appearance he proves to be a force of destruction. Throughout the series he proves to be a master manipulator. Yes, he eventually turns good but when he's bad he's a nasty little f***er that needs a serious ass-whooping.
1. Sideshow Bob(The Simpsons)Throughout the course of the series Sideshow Bob has tried and tried again to kill Bart Simpson. He can be quite hilarious at times. This is especially true in an episode where The Simpsons become a part of the witness relocation program and he gets crushed by elephants, pricked by cactuses and meets his second arch enemy: rakes. His plans are continually thwarted but he is a criminal mastermind in my books.

True Blood Season 5 Episode 8 Recap
**Spoiler Alert**
So this season so far I have really enjoyed. Last nights episode was one of the ones where I didn’t really love.
Jason talks to Sookie about trying to use up all her power and instead makes her realize she needs some of that juice left over if she wants to be able to defeat the vampire that killed her parents. They go to the Fae who agree to help them and Sookie is able to psychically tap into what happened that night. She finds out the vampires name is Warlow. At the end of the episode Warlow sends her a psychic message saying he is coming for her and then that she is his. Is it just me or do all male Vampires like to take ownership? Bill Sookie is Mine. Eric You are mine! And now Warlow you are mine.
So speaking of Vampires Bill and Eric and the crew return back to the Authority lair post Wedding night blood bath. Eric tries to talk to his sister about what Godric had said but she will have none of that. She insults Godric and Eric almost gives her the True Death. But he holds back. She tells him that Lilith will show him the way. Bill on the other hand was seduced by the dark side which is to say Salome had a nubile woman there for Bill to dine on. Bill did not want to do it but then was coerced due to not wanting to look like a blasphemer. In the end Bill came up with an idea to bomb the Tru Blood factories and force the Vampires to feed on humans. Eric asked Bill what he was doing, Bill said he was adapting.
Next up we have Hoyt and his band of Obama mask wearing Supe killers. One of them seduces Jessica saying his blood is like a milkshake and we see her in silver chains. Hoyt’s buddies give him a gun with silver tipped wooden bullets and tell him to kill her. Hoyt and Jessica discuss why their relationship didn’t work. Then Hoyt holds the gun at her. We hear a shot, the Blood like a Milkshake guy walks in and Jessica comes from behind the door and breaks his neck. Hoyt says he will get her help and then tells her to F off. Hoyt is walking when a truck pulls up, he recognizes the driver then gets a gun put in his face.
So back at the Hospital Sam captures the redneck orderly. Luna becomes so mad that she actually skinwalks and becomes Sam. Hilarity insues. They end up finding Jessica but Luna still can’t change back. Sam confesses his love for her and she turns back. She then proceeds to vomit into a bucket. I don’t know if this is a good sign Sam Ol’ Boy.
Next we have Terry and the Ifrit and this storyline ties in with Lafayette. Laffy is on his way home and he looks thru the first aid kid. Finds some V and puts it on his ailed lips. He then has a conversation with Jesus, we don’t know if it was really Jesus but as he told Laffy, “Does it really matter?” So he gets home and there are Arlene and Andy’s booty call whose name escapes me. So they tell Laffy about the situation with Terry and their plan to use him as a medium to make Terry believe that the curse has been lifted. Laffy informs them that it will cost them $300 to do this. They proceed to do the seance and the chick that put the curse on them actually shows up. Her deal is she will lift the curse if either Terry kills Patrick or Patrick kills Terry. Patrick high tails it out of there.
Alcide and his new girl are shown in the sack together. She tells Alcide she is not his girlfriend to which he asks her if she wants to be. Alcide then goes to fight the pack master and gets his butt handed to him cause JD is on V.
Then the Tara and Pam storyline. One of the bigots bitches from Tara’s high school days shows up at Fangtasia’s to provoke Tara. Tara tells her off and Pam comes down on her. Little do we know that Pam has brought the bitch downstairs and then glammers her into letting Tara feast on her. I do like this new duo.
Anyway that is the week that was. The episode wasn’t a stand out but it wasn’t horrible either. Let me know what you think on the Blog

The Thursday TV Bin Smallville
Smallville aired for 10 seasons. The coming of age story of Clark Kent, his life in Smallville, and early years in Metropolis. The show aired on the WB and CW networks and was very popular. By the end of it’s run Smallville was the longest running American Science Fiction. It starred Tom Welling as Clark Kent, and Allison Mack as Chloe Sullivan. These two actors remained constant through out the run of the show. Michael Rosenbaum portrayed Lex Luthor, once friend and then sworn enemy of Clark Kent. The ever beautiful Kristin Kreuk portrayed Lana Lang, Clarks first love. Annette O’Toole was Martha Kent and John Schneider portrayed Jonathan Kent. Erica Durance joins the show later as Chloe’s cousin and Clarks future love interest Lois Lane. Laura Vandervoort also appeared on the show as Clarks Kryptonian Cousin Lara. Justin Hartley was Oliver Queen aka The Green Arrow.
Over the 10 Seasons Clark had to deal with Kryptonite Monsters of the Week and also had to deal with major Superman mythology villains such as Doomsday, Metallo, Zod, and Darkseid. As well as most seasons have to deal with Lex Luthor and his crazy father Lionel portrayed by John Glover.
I was never a huge fan of this show but I did enjoy enough of the episodes that I would recommend it to comic book fans or fans of Superman. I kept watching near the end so I could see where the series went. I did like the final episode.

True Blood Season 5
Episode 7: "In The Beginning"
**Spoiler Alert**
Last night’s episode of True Blood revealed to us that Salome was the one who helped Russell get free. The reason was because she knew Russell was the only one who could kill Roman. The vampires then drink the blood of innocents and Lillith appears and commands them to continue but Eric sees Godric, who tells him he must save Nora.
Sookie finds out that if she uses her powers to much she may lose them and finally become “normal”. In the final moments of the episode we see her trying to waste them by shooting light into the night sky. After Jason finds out Jessica was feeding on a random person he sees the lights in the sky.
Sam finds his shooters and confronts one of them at the hospital.
Hoyt joins a vampire hate group.
Alcide trains for his brawl with J.D. and seems to be falling for his potential second-in-comand.
Tara's mother confronts her about being a vampire. Pam then comforts Tara.
While searching for Jesus’ body Lafayette is captured by Jesus’ grandfather, who sews up his mouth, ties him to a chair, and tries to take back some magic. Lafayette is however saved.
Cool episode, but part of me wishes this season would just hit it’s climax already. I guess we’ll have to see if that happens next week.

Thursday TV Bin Angel
Thursday TV Bin Angel
Angel is the Spin Off of last weeks Thursday TV Bin, Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Created by Joss Whedon and David Greenwalt, it aired on the WB Network. It started out as Angel, Doyle and Cordelia. Doyle departs and in comes Wesley. They add Gunn, Fred, Lorne, Connor (boooo) and then Season 5 gets Spike (Yay!). Angel the series grew better and better with each passing season, well except season 4’s ending was kinda shoddy. The character of Angel played by David Boreanaz grew immensely as a character on his own show. He was given the room to shine and he did. He was more than just the brooding vampire. He was given room to show his comedic, dramatic and athletic sides. Charisma Carpenter’s, Cordelia Chase also got more screen time to shine and crack jokes, and be snarky at times. But the character with the most change over the entire series was Wesley Wyndham-Pryce played by Alexis Denisof. His character had by far the most dynamic character arc and changes as he transformed from the nerdy, wimpy former Watcher into a dark bad ass. J. August Richards, Charles Gunn was a good character. His sister was attacked by Vampires and he wanted to avenge her so he became a Street Smart Hunter. Amy Acker portrays the smart, mousy, small town girl Willifred “Fred” Burkle. I loved Amy in this role and everything she has done since. She is genuinely such a sweet heart. Andy Hallet portrayed Lorne the Host of Caritas the local Karaoke place for Demons and Humans alike. And of course season 5 saw the inclusion of Spike portrayed amazingly by James Marsters.
My favourite season was Season 5, seasons 2 and 3 were also great. I did enjoy season 1 but it was still trying to find it’s way and be self sufficient without Buffy. Season 4 was kind of a mess and I didn’t really enjoy it as much as the other seasons. The Standout episode for me prior to Season 5 was season 1’s "I Will Remember You". It was a very touching episode. Season 5 is bloody fantastic and there is no better screen pairing in the Whedonverse than Angel and Spike. I wish the series had gone for a 6th season but alas, we can’t always get what we want.
To wrap it up Angel was able to stand on it’s own and become it’s own beast entirely.

Joel McHale signs on for Guest star role on Season 5 of Sons of Anarchy
Sons of Anarchy just keep signing up guest stars. The latest added to this list is Community's Joel McHale. Since I don't watch Community I have no idea about his acting style. I am just waiting impatiently for this next season to start up in September. I cannot wait. It is reported that McHale will play a Con Man named Warren.

True Blood Season 5
Episode 6: "Hopeless"
**Spoiler Alert**
Last night’s episode of True Blood was fairly well done.
In the beginning of the episode we saw Russell attempt to feed on Sookie while wolves attacked Bill, Eric, and Alcide. The Vampire Authority then took Russell into custody and Bill fake-glamoured Sookie as Eric actually glamoured Alcide and made him believe he was repulsed by Sookie. He later challenges J.D. as pack leader. Meanwhile, Eric comes to the realization that Nora may have freed Russell.
Pam stops the fight between Jessica and Tara. She then declares to Tara just how proud of her she is.
Lafayette discovers that he and his mother have both received aperilous message from Jesus.
After being shot Sam and Luna end up in the hospital. Marcus’ mother shows up and assures them that Emma(Luna’s daughter) will be safe with her while the shifter murders continue. Sam, with the help of Andy heads to a store that sells supernatural killing products and saves Andy’s life.
Sookie and Jason visit the faery night club and are told that a vampire had killed their parents after smelling Sookie’s blood on a band-aid years ago.
The curse that afflicts Terry makes him break up with Arlene out of fear that the Ifrit will harm her and the kids.
In a surprise ending, Russell inflicts the true death upon Roman, the head of the Vampire Authority, after he is almost killed himself.
The episode moved faster than most of the other ones this season and once again continues to thicken the plot. Let’s hope this leads to an amazing second half of the season because so far Season 5 is far from the best.

True Blood Season 5
Episode 5: "Let's Boot And Rally"
**Spoiler Alert**
In last night’s episode of True Blood Bill and Eric brought Sookie along to help figure out Russell’s location. We finally got some interaction between Russell and Bill and Eric after they covered him in concrete at the end of season 3. Denis O’Hare was excellent as usual. Patrick and Terry are being held against their will in Brian Eller’s bunker and we get to see the being that is crazy awesome in my opinion and I really can’t wait to see what happens with that storyline now.
Jessica and Tara seemed to make friends with one another at Fangtasia until Tara starts to feed, among other things, with Hoyt. I will say I LOVE the idea of having the a vampire cat fight on the show!
Jason and Andy both wake up naked after their party with fairies. Jason has a distressing dream about his childhood.
This episode was actually quite exciting and felt that it may be one of the better ones of the season so far. They need to bring on more Russell Edgington!

Thursday TV Bin 24
Thursday TV Bin 24
24 is my favourite television show of all time. This show lasted 8 Seasons which was actually 8 days in the life of Counter Terrorist Agent Jack Bauer. 24 consisted of 24 episodes each season and each episode consisted of an hour in that day. The show usually revolved around the Counter Terrorist Unit which Jack Bauer worked for. Jack Bauer played ever so amazingly by Kiefer Sutherland, is a dedicated, and one might say obsessive guy who will always do what he believes is right for the Country. He is kind of like a Captain America but with a darker more tortured soul. I used to refer to it as the Jack Bauer Power Hour. There were certain characters that stood out during the 8 seasons, the honourable President David Palmer (Dennis Haysbert), the funny but quirky Chloe O’Brian (Mary Lynn Rajskub), my second favourite character the awesome Tony Almeida (Carlos Bernard), the ever sexy but often annoying Kim Bauer (Elisha Cuthbert), Agent Aaron Pierce (Glenn Morshower), Michelle Dessler (Reiko Aylesworth) and Bill Buchanan (James Morrison). The show was on for 8 seasons so there were tons of other characters that stood out but these ones were my favourites. This is possibly the most addictive television show of all time and when you do purchase it on dvd you will find it hard to stop watching the show for the day. I would re-watch a whole season in one 16 hour stretch. The show was just that addictive. I could not give a television show a higher recommendation than I do this show.

True Blood Season 5
Episode 4: "We'll Meet Again"
**Spoiler Alert**
I’m back to recap episode 4 of True Blood’s fifth season! Thanks Jason for filling in for me. Anyway, let’s get started.
This week on True Blood Eric and Bill, with pressure from the authority continued their search for Russell Edgington and it looks like they are potentially gonna be using Sookie as bait. Sookie and Alcide repair their fractured friendship and we have never seen Sookie have so much fun after Lafayette accidentally nearly kills her during his own possession.
Pam and Tara look they they are beginning to form a mother-daughter relationship after Pam saves Tara from inflicting the true death upon herself. Personally, I think they will make a tremendous team in the episodes to come. Eric even ends up releasing Pam.
The most interesting part of the episode comes in the form of a party hosted by the fairies, attended by Jason, Andy, and the judge, which turns odd quickly when Jason discovers that Hadley is working there.
It was a great episode, which seems like it is building to something awesome in the near future. Stay tuned…..

Thursday TV Bin Freaky Stories
Freaky Stories is tv show that I used to stay up to watch late at night, around 11 o’clock (remember when you though 11 pm was late?) It is a canadian show that aired on YTV it only had 3 seasons and 35 episodes. The show consisted of a series of short stories based on urban legend, held together by hosts, Larry the cockroach and Maurice the maggot from a 1950’s diner. I loved this show and i hope it’s presence in the bin dredges up some fond memories for some and inspires everyone else to check it out on youtube, you’re gonna love it.

True Blood Season Five Episode 3 Recap
Whatever I am You Made Me *Spoiler Alert*
So it starts off with us getting to see what Tara now see’s as a Vampire. She heals from the Liquid Silver spray she got in the last episode. Sookie and Lafayette come out looking for her. Tara takes off and see’s a young lady trying to use a jack and replace her spare tire. Tara attacks her and almost eats her but see’s her reflection and apologizes and runs off to Merlottes where Sam feeds her many a bottle of Tru Blood and then hides her in the Walk In Freezer. He wanted to call Sookie or Lafayette but Tara would not let him.
Sookie headed out to Fangtasia to ask Pam to summons Tara but Pam was having none of it. Her and Sookie got into a confrontation which, which Sookie actually won using her Faerie Glowy hand power. Everyone in Fangtasia stopped to watch as Pam was getting up. She of course had another of the great One liners of the night telling them to Continue to pay for her overpriced drinks. So Sookie and Laffy went to Sam and after Sookie read his mind she found out where Tara was. Laffy fed her some Tru Blood but Tara was pissed off. She came out and chirped at everyone, took off and found a Tanning Salon and decided to UV herself to death. Pam “feels it” or whatever Vampires do when they sense these things and calls Tara a “Stupid Bitch”. This is the end of the Tara storyline for now.
We had more Pam flashback where we see that Eric and Bill met each other a long time ago when Bill was just a newbie Vampire with a big heart. Bill and Lorena were at Pam’s brothel draining all of the ladies of blood. With Eric backing her Pam made them pay $500 for each lady they drained. Then Pam and Eric make with the love and Pam asks about what it is like to be a Vampire and ask’s Eric to turn her. Eric refuses saying if she knew the responsibility it is to be one’s sire she would not ask this of him. Pam then slits her wrists letting herself bleed out, she tells Eric to either turn her or let her die. Eric proceeds to turn her.
So now we turn to what is happening with Bill and Eric. Roman and the rest of his Chancelors decide after much deliberation to take them up on their offer to kill Russell or die trying. They strap them up with a device that will impale their heart if they try to take it off or that will be detonated by an APP if they don’t finish the job. The person putting the device on them was Tina Majorino of Veronica Mars fame!!!
So then Salome one of the Chancelors decides to meet with and sleep with both Bill and Eric separately to find out if they are traitors to the mainstreaming cause. She tells Roman after that they are both loyal and then she proceeds to sleep with Roman. Eric and Bill both inform each other that Salome came to meet them both and Bill makes a crack at Eric having his sloppy seconds again. Nora also confessed to being a Sanguinista when the threat of Eric being given the True Death was brought up.
The Alcide storyline has gotten a bit interesting because everyone is trying to find out where Debbie is. Alcide talk to her parents who think that maybe he had something to do with her disappearance. He informs them he did not. Sheriff Andy asks Sookie if she knew where Debbie was and of course Sookie lied. Sookie had to confess to Alcide after Tara came out of the Walk In Freezer that Debbie had shot Tara and that Sookie shot Debbie. Alcide was pissed that Sookie didn’t tell him this information before hand. He told her that he has always had her back since he has met her and this is how she repays him. He then storms off, or drove off with Sookie questioning if he is going to tell anyone.
So as everyone knows my favourite will they or won’t they couple are Jason and Jessica, and this weeks episode was great. Jason meets one of his ex teachers Mrs Steeler in the grocery store. Right from the get go we can tell they had sex. So Jason asks her a pickle question then heads over to her house. Mrs Steeler apologizes for taking advantage of Jason back then and having sex with him. Jason said that it was amazing and she taught him the only thing he was good at. They have sex again and after it Jason tells her he realizes it was wrong. And he leaves. So then we cut to Jessica shopping in a clothing store. She tries on a dress and the sales lady tells her if she is doing it for Jason she is wasting her time. Jessica goes off on her for talking bad about her friend. A guy comes in wanting to buy dresses and Jessica smells him and thinks he smells fantastic. She wants to chase him down but he runs away. The smell makes her run over to Jason so they can have sex. But Jason turns her down saying he is always filling the hole in his life with sex. Jessica tells him that they can just talk like friends and proceeds to go change into something less provocative.
My least favourite storyline which deals with Arlene and Terry. Terry tells her he is leaving for an undisclosed amount of time. Arlene says she won’t wait around for him. Arlene later on goes off on Lafayette for turning his own cousin into a Vampire. Lafayette tells her off and then proceeds to pour bleach into the Gumbo he was making. He looks into the mirror and see’s Jesus’s Demon face on him. He gets scared and then pours out the Gumbo.
That’s all for the episode recap this week folks.

True Blood Season Five Episode Two Recap
Authority Always Wins *Spoiler Alert*
True Blood Season Five Episode Two Recap
Respect My Authority
So the episode started off with Sookie, Pam, Laffy and newly turned Vampire Tara. Tara goes all Vamp crazy and puts Sookie up against a tree. Tara’s cousin Laffy tries to stop her but gets knocked for a wallop. Tara then bites Sookie and Pam pulls her off. So far it seem’s Tara might be Fucktarded like Pam predicted. I love me some Pam one liners. So Pam tell’s Tara she can’t eat Sookie and Lafayette and that she is stuck in the house. We next see Eric, Bill and Nora get brought to where the Authority is. They get tortured in some pretty cool ways like UV Lights and Electrified Silver in the blood. Finally we meet a few members of the authority and it is at it’s best when we meet Christopher Meloni as Roman Guardian of the Authority. We also learn in this episode that there is a Vampire Bible that pre-dates our bible. And that Lilith the First Vampire was supposed to be made in God’s image. So all these Authority folks prey to Lilith every day and drink from Roman’s blood. So Roman was about to give Bill and Eric the True Death, but Bill played the last card they had, Russell Edgington. The Authority were all upset because Nan told them that he was dead. Eric and Bill informed them otherwise. So it seems a deal was struck for Eric and Bill to hunt down and Kill Russell for the Authority to spare their lives. I like this idea of Bill and Eric Vampire Hunters.
In this episode we also got to Pam’s back story. She worked as a Madam in a Brothel. She gets attacked one night by a mugger/rapist but Eric saves her but cutting the guy open with his hand and sucking the blood off his thumb like it was BBQ Sauce. This was one of the coolest scenes in the episode.
We also get to see Jason Stackhouse trying to mend his friendship with Hoyt and Mrs. Fortenberry yelling at then thanking Jason for breaking up that Red Headed Whore and her son. Speaking of that Red Headed Whore, Jessica had fun playing with Steve Newlin making him offer up $20,000 for Jason and making him pop Two Fang Boners and a Real Boner. Before she told him Jason is not for sale and that he is her friend. Since this is my first True Blood recap you all won’t know I love me some Jessica. Not only is she gorgeous but she is funny and fun too. I love her and Jason’s relationship and it is the one relationship I want to see develope.
The Wolf and Shifter storyline is a bit weird and honestly I find it the second least appealing so far of this season. Alcide refuses to take over as Pack Leader and also refuses to eat the old pack leader Marcus. Marcus mother visits Sam’s Shift Girlfriend Luna and told her she wants in her grand daughter Emma’s life and that she thought that Emma would become a wolf. Sam and Luna got into a fight over her daughter. She pissed Sam off and he left, or I guess she kicked him out, you watch and decide which. Then at the end of the episode her daughter turns into what is believed to be a wolf but looked kinda more like a small husky, score one for Gramma guess she was right.
And my least favourite storyline is Terry and Arlene. He is going crazy and being aggressive due to some Post Traumatic Stress from his days as a Marine. Scott Foley’s character Patrick brings this on even worse. They are looking for some former marine who they say likes to set fires.
To end the episode we see Russell looking all destroyed to hell enjoying having just eaten. He's back folks!!!
That is pretty much the recap. I enjoyed the episode. And I look forward to things to come.

True Blood Season 5
Episode 1: "Turn! Turn! Turn!"
**Spoiler Alert**
In the season 5 premiere we found Sookie and Lafayette cleaning up the mess after Debbie and Tara's deaths, when Pam arrives and is asked to turn Tara into a vampire. Meanwhile, Alcide tries to get word out that Russell Edgington has been removed from his concrete prison and also tries to help Sam fight back against Marcus' mother and the rest of his wolf pack. Bill and Eric are captured by the vampire authority but get themselves free with the help of Eric's "sister". Jason deals with his jealousy issues when Jessica starts flirting with another guy and Hoyt's anger. Tara eventually wakes up at the end of the episode.
Overall I thought the episode was hilarious. It was a fun return to Bon Temps and set a lot of really cool things up for the rest of the season.
Episode Highlight: Pam getting down in dirty while trying to turn Tara into a vamp.

Thursday TV Bin Dollhouse
Dollhouse created by the great Joss Whedon, was a television show that ran for two seasons (26 episodes) and starred Eliza Dusku. The show revolves around Wealthy clients paying for the services of a Doll or the proper term active. These people have had their memories erased and removed and can be inserted with temporary memories and skills. The main character is Echo portrayed by Eliza Dusku. In the opening of the show she is new to the Dollhouse. Many of Joss Whedons former writers and directors on his previous television shows (Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, Firefly) joined to help write and produce Dollhouse. The cast consisted of many actors with Sci Fi cred including Harry Lennix (Matrix), Fran Kranz (Cabin In The Woods), Tahmoh Penikett (Battlestar Galactica), Enver Gjokaj( The Avengers), Dichen Lachman (US Being Human, Torchwood Miracle Day) ,Olivia Williams(X-Men: Last Stand) ,Amy Acker (Angel, Cabin In The Woods) and Summer Glau (Firefly, Sarah Connor Chronicles). I wouldn’t say this is my favourite of Joss’s work but it certainly is better than a lot of the things that were on TV and certainly deserves a chance on DVD.

MTV To Develop Scream TV Series
This is a strange piece of news to me. It has be announced that MTV is making Scream into a television series. Personally, I'm not sold on this idea as I feel like Scream is done best as a film series. Also, I am worried that the cast will not live up to the cast that the fans of this series have come to know and love. It is also not known whether or not any of the cast of the film or if Wes Craven and Kevin Williamson will have an involvement in the series.

Sons of Anarchy casts Lost and Oz actor
Sons of Anarchy has cast Harold Perrineau of Oz and Lost fame to join the cast for Season 5. He was fantastic in both shows, although his Michael on Lost really pissed a lot of people off. I think he is a great actor and will be another great addition to the cast.

Thursday TV Bin- Undeclared
Undeclared was kind of like a defacto sequel series to Freaks and Geeks, although taking place in the 2000’s as opposed to 1980. This series was created by Judd Apatow and also only lasted 1 season. The actors in this series much like Freaks and Geeks have gone on to some fame after words. Jay Baruchel, Seth Rogen and Sons of Anarchy’s Charlie Hunnam were the main male stars. Jason Segal also was a guest star on a few episodes. Monica Keenan and Carla Gallo were the main female stars. Busy Phillips of Dawsons Creek and Cougartown fame also was a guest star. The show took place at a fictional University in California. It was a very funny sitcom but lacked the heart of Freaks and Geeks. It consists of 17 episodes each lasting about 22 minutes in length, as it was a sitcom. If you enjoyed Freaks and Geeks I would give this show a watch. I enjoyed it and it made me laugh a lot. They have a lot of the Freaks and Geeks cast show up for cameo’s and also Adam Sandler and a few of his co horts show up in an episode.

Thursday TV Bin- Drive
This show only lated 4 episodes. I was really starting to enjoy it and wanted to see where it was going. Created by Tim Minear a veteran Dollhouse, Angel and Firefly writer and producer. The show was a mystery revolving around an illegal car race across America. Nathan Fillion was the star of the show. I really was sad when this show was cancelled. I really enjoyed the Pilot episode and was excited to see where they would take the story.

The Thursday TV Bin- Dark Angel
The Thursday TV Bin- Dark Angel
Starring Jessica Alba and created by James Cameron, what more do you need to say. This show aired on Fox for 2 seasons between 2000 and 2002. Max (portrayed by Jessica Alba) was a genetically enhanced Super Soldier who escaped the facility Manticore. Manticore was creating and training children to be Super Soliders. 11 of these children including Max escaped from the facility. The show starts up 10 years later in 2019. Set in a post apocalyptic Seattle where most of the United Stated had been hit by a electro magnetic pulse which has pretty much put most of the country into a state of chaos with all of their communications and electronics being rendered useless. The first season was Max trying to find her “brothers” and “sisters” that also escaped from Manticore. The second season which also co starred Jensen Ackles dealt more with the ramifications that happened during season one.
I didn’t watch the show in it’s first airing but I did pick it up on DVD and I loved both seasons when I watched them. I would recommend it to fans of Sci Fi and also to fans of shows like Bionic Woman and Buffy the Vampire Slayer. They did attempt to create a mythology and it was very interesting. None of the supporting characters besides Jensen Ackles really stood out to me, although she did have a love interest Logan Cale (Michael Weatherly of NCIS) who helped her. She had a support group of friends but they were nothing as memorable as the Scoobies. But Jessica Alba was great as Max. And lets not mince words she was pretty damn hot too. So if you are a Jessica Alba fan or just like to watch shows were genetically enhanced chicks kick butt then go pick up Dark Angels season 1 and 2.

The Thursday TV Bin- Veronica Mars
Oh Veronica how I miss thee. Veronica Mars lasted 2 seasons on UPN and one on the CW. That is 3 very amazing seasons of what has ended up to be one of my favourite Television shows to ever air. The series starred Kristen Bell as Veronica Mars as the teen detective. Veronica was smart, quick witted, and determined. Veronica lived with her father who was a Detective and her mentor. Her father used to be the Sherriff but lost his job when he accused the wrong man of murder. This prompted Veronica’s mother to leave him and Veronica and her father to move to the poor side of town. Veronica Mars is set in Neptune, California a city where the ultra rich live and also working class or lower class people. Veronica and her father happen to be of the working class variety, although she used to have many rich friends. She lost all that when her best friend Lily Kane died. Her father accused Lily’s father of the murder, this led to his removal as Sheriff. It also led to the downfall of Veronica’s social life. The series main plot consisted of a mystery of the week and also a few season long mysteries. The main mystery was who killed Lily Kane? Secondary mysteries were where did Veronica’s Mother go and who date raped Veronica at a 09er party. Veronica developed some new friendships during this first season. They consisted of the basketball star Wallace Fennel, The PCHers Biker gang leader Eli “Weevil” Navarro and “Mac” the Neptune High computer geek. And what would the show be without a love triangle. It consists of Veronica, Logan and Duncan. I was always Team Veronica and Logan. Duncan being one of the biggest wastes of television this side of Riley Finn. As stated previously Veronica Mars went on for two more seasons. I don’t feel that either season matched the greatness of Season 1 but there were some great episodes and I did love each season. The second seasons main mystery was a Bus crash and the third season had 3 different mini mysteries which each lasted about 6 to 8 episodes. In season two of Veronica Mars two of my favourite people showed up, those two being Kevin Smith and Joss Whedon. It also had two great Buffy the Vampire Slayer alumni in Alysson Hannigan and Charisma Carpenter. The third season kinda bothered me the way it ended. On the third season DVD they had a few minutes filmed of the proposed 4th season where Veronica would be working for the FBI. It was interesting but had none of the previous cast save for Veronica. I loved Kristen Bell as Veronica Mars and am hoping some day that there will be a movie about this character. If you have not seen the series and you enjoy quick wit banter like in the shows Buffy the Vampire Slayer or Dawsons Creek, then rush and pick up the DVD box sets.

The Thursday TV Bin- Dead Like Me
The Thursday TV Bin- Dead Like Me Ok so I am a little late this week. This won’t be a regular trend, I am going to try my hardest to make sure the article is out on Thursday. So anyway, my apology for being late by a day. Now on to our TV show for this week, Dead Like Me.
The show was about Grim Reapers. It was created by Bryan Fuller (Creator of Pushing Daisies and Wonderfalls) and is set in Seattle, Washington. The show revolved around Georgia “George” Lass who one day heading to work was killed by a Toilet seat from a de orbiting space station. George was reaped and then became a Reaper. She becomes responsible for Reaping people in the External Influence Division or people who die in accidents. Her boss is Rube, and was played fantastically by Mandy Patinkin, her co workers included Mason (Callum Blue), Roxy (Jasmin Guy), Betty (Rebecca Gayheart) and Daisy Adair (Laura Harris). The Reapers would meet up in Der Waffle Haus and receive their assignments aka Reaping’s for the day. The Reapers weren’t responsible for the deaths this was the responsibility of the creepy Gremlin looking Gravelings. The Reapers are responsible for collecting the souls after death. Sometimes it is difficult for them because Rube gives them the initials, Location and Estimated Time of Death on a yellow Post-It. The Reapers are responsible for finding out who the person is and remove their soul a few seconds prior to them dying.
The show also focuses on George’s family after she has died. George constantly checks up on them and these moments are pretty touching and heart warming. Her family consists of her mother, father and sister.
And Reapers are also responsible for holding a Job. George ends up working at the same Temp Agency she worked at when she had died. Her supervisor and later on somewhat friend is Delores Herbig. While at work George goes by the identity of Millie.
I really enjoyed this show and thought that it was a completely original and genius idea. A lot of the episodes made you laugh but also made you think. They did come out with a Direct To DVD movie but I still as yet have not seen it. I was sad when this show was cancelled after it’s 2nd season. If you have not seen this and think this show could appeal to you, go purchase the seasons on DVD.

My Top 10 Favorite Television Shows of All Time
Top 10 Television Shows of All Time
At this point in my life I love Television. I grew up a lover of movies and was never a big fan of television shows. As a child I loved The Incredible Hulk and in my early 20’s I loved Dawson’s Creek. For me the real love of TV viewing started in the early 2000’s with the creation of 24. I started watching it the first season on DVD. I caught up and watched the second season and the rest as they say is history. Lost was a show I watched from day one and never stopped watching. As with 24, Lost was Must See TV for me. Most television shows I end up watching on DVD but not with those two. Or course I own every season of them on DVD and have had multiple viewings of almost all seasons. So creating this list was difficult for me. Out of your whole life how do you come up with 10 TV shows to put down on a list to be your favorite of ALL TIME? I had to make certain criteria for shows to be eligible. I decided that a television show must have been on the air for longer than one season. So that took two amazing shows Freaks and Geeks and Firefly off the list. I had to have finished all of the seasons of the show so that took The X Files and Dawson’s Creek off the list. It was hard for me to put comedies on the list so as much as I love Entourage and Californication they did not make the cut. I loved a lot of Soprano’s but not enough for it to make my Top 10. Alias, Six Feet Under and Nip/Tuck would have been on the list had they kept up the great story telling they had in their first two seasons, alas in my opinion the quality dropped drastically in these shows. So after careful consideration, and much deliberation with myself below is my Top 10 List.
Jason’s Top 10 Television Shows of All Time
1) 24 -TV’s version of the most addictive drug. 24 is a political thriller on a caffeine high. The show was set in Los Angeles at the fictional Counter Terrorist Unit. The protagonist of the show was Jack Bauer. And through out the shows run there were many great supporting characters Tony Almeida, David Palmer, Chloe O’Brian, Kim Bauer, Nina Myers, Teri Bauer, President Logan, and Aaron Pierce. The show didn’t shy away from killing off major characters and it would throw you red herrings so you never knew who to really trust. Most episodes had you at the edge of your seat and dealt with subject matter that not everyone would feel comfortable with. I always thought of the show as the Jack Bauer Power Hour. And I cannot wait to see the rumored feature film that is supposed to come out.
2) Lost -This sci fi/drama/romance/action/suspense was one of the most popular and blogged about shows of the 2000’s. It was one of those water cooler shows that everyone loved to talk about a speculate about. I watched this show from Day one and loved it all the way to the finale. I was one of the people that loved the finale and thought that it ended beautifully. I was glad that the creators had an overall arc they wanted to achieve and that they decided to end the show on their terms and not get cancelled. Lost knew how to build on the suspense and the mystery surrounding the Island and the Passengers of Oceanic Flight 815. The Flashbacks, Flash forward’s and Flash Sideways always had us wondering what was next and just what the hell were we watching. The first episode of Lost was probably the best Pilot episode of television I have ever watched.
3) Sons of Anarchy -Kurt Sutters Ode to Shakespears Hamlet but told in the world of a California Outlaw Biker Gang. The Sons of Anarchy Motorcycle Club Redwood Originals or SAMCRO is the Bikers that the show revolves around. Jax Teller is the shows main protagonist. I think of Sons as a male soap opera. You care about the characters and the storylines and you can’t help but root for this dysfunctional “family”. If you want to read more about my love of Sons of Anarchy go here.
4) The Shield - Corrupt Cops, Gang Bangers in Los Angeles, what is not to like about this show. The shows Anti Hero Vic Mackey is one of the greatest characters ever to grace Television. The show had adrenaline and great story telling. I loved the way in which it had the serialized stories of the Strike Team and also had a procedural feel when Dutch and Claudette were working a case. It was like the best of both worlds. This show was graphic and at times you hated Vic for things he did. But the show was always entertaining and all 7 seasons were fantastic. Something that I find rare in my television watching world.
5) The Wire- The Wire is probably the best written television show I have ever watched. The show revolves around a Baltimore Police unit that used wire taping and other methods to attempt to bring down a Baltimore inner city street gang. The show was hard hitting and was an ode to the city of Baltimore. The acting was always spot on and the show spent just as much time showing you the Gang life as it did showing you the lives of the police. The Wire never received the critical love that it deserved. Which is really unfortunate.
6) Buffy the Vampire Slayer- I never watched Buffy during it’s original run. I watched it on DVD, borrowing them from my cousin Meagan (she runs here Nook on this site). I didn’t really enjoy the first season of this show. But as I continued to watch I fell in love with this world, and the idea of a Slayer and a Hellmouth and the Scoobies. A blonde haired Vampire became my favorite character in the series. Joss Whedon’s writing and the Joss speak that everyone had on the show was what kept me coming back. I have since become a huge fan of Joss. I especially loved Season 2 and Seasons 5,6 and 7 of Buffy.
7) Angel: The Series- A spin off of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. This television show is about Angel trying to find redemption and help the helpless in Los Angeles. I have to admit I was never a huge fan of Angel when he was on Buffy the Vampire Slayer. But on his own show he truly shined. A lot of people have told me they did not enjoy Angel nearly as much as Buffy. I myself have to disagree. Angel is almost on par with Buffy and when Spike joined in season 5 it might have even surpassed some of the weaker seasons of Buffy. I feel that this series not only allowed Angel to shine but also gave Cordelia and Wesley the chance grow and develop as characters. Wesley was one of the real shining lights on this show. His character on Buffy was annoying at best. But he really came into his own on Angel.
8) Veronica Mars- Veronica was teenage, female detective who helped solve cases for her fellow high school students. The show consisted of a few year long mystery arc’s and also had weekly mysteries. The writing was fantastic and the acting by Kristen Bell was top notch. Veronica Mars lasted 3 seasons and had some truly great season finales. It is shame the show wasn’t renewed for a 4th season.
9) Oz- Oz was one of HBO’s first original series and it was one of the best this network has ever put out. This gripping, hard hitting serialized who about life in an experimental Prison unit was phenomenal and also scared the hell out of you. After watching what occurred in OZ you never wanted to go to prison. The characters were richly written and weren’t just stereotypical thugs and gangsters. I really enjoyed all 6 seasons of this show and truly do miss the characters. Many of the actors have gone on to great success in movies and on other TV shows.
10) A Supernatural -Supernatural is the tale of two Monster Hunting brothers Sam and Dean Winchester. I am a huge fan of the Winchester Brothers, this duo keeps me coming back for more. I love to see them kill monsters and I love to see them bicker amongst themselves. Another thing I love about this series is that a bunch of sci fi actors I love from other shows keep popping up. Jensen and Jared do an amazing job with this show and I hope it lasts a few more seasons.
B True Blood- Hbo’s Vampire/Supernatural show. This is set in a world where Vampires have come out of the Casket. It takes place in a small town called Bon Temps, which is located in Louisiana. Sookie Stackhouse is the main protagonist and she is a telepath. Her love interests include Bill and Eric, both vampires. The cast is great and the show is very dark and graphic at times. But it is very addictive and it makes you want to see where the story is going and it makes you glad you are going along for the ride.

Top Ten Tuesdays
The Top 10 Television Shows
You all voted for which list you would like to see so here it is: My Top 10 Television Shows!
10. The X-Files The X-Files is every sci-fi horror fan’s friend. The series follows agents Fox Mulder and the skeptical Dana Scully as they investigate strange phenomena and attempt to uncover a huge government conspiracy. The series was very creepy during it’s time on the air and honestly I couldn’t watch it until years after. It is one show I loved getting into. This is true especially while watching the alien/UFO storylines.
9. Freaks And Geeks This one holds a special place in my heart. Freaks And Geeks is a show about just that, freaks and geeks. It has an amazing cast including James Franco, Seth Rogan, and Jason Segel among others. Each of the characters, whether a freak or a geek reminds you SO much of what high school and adolescence were all about regardless of what generation you grew up in. This show dealt with pretty much every issue that teens go through every day without making the adults boring. Thank you Freaks And Geeks!
8. Fringe Yes it’s true, I picked Fringe over J.J. Abrams’ masterpiece, Lost. If TV shows could make love and have a child, X-Files and CSI would be Fringe’s parents. The show is fascinating to watch, mostly due to the talented performances of Joshua Jackson, Anna Torv, and John Noble…. And then there’s the weird science fiction aspect that the show has that almost seems plausible. Honestly… you should at least rent this one if you like science fiction or detective shows.
7. South Park Creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone were seemingly crazy when they came up with this show. What they did was create a show that was so utterly stupid that it was smart. South Park is perhaps the one absolute trash show on TV that you might be able to walk away from having actually learned something. Every episode makes some sort of opinionated statement or another. Oh, and of course the show is HILARIOUS.
6. Pinky And The Brain This is the one kids TV show on the list although I was tempted to put more. Children’s cartoons can have so much imagination put into them and that’s why I love Pinky And The Brain. The writers were constantly coming up with new and funny ways for Brain and Pinky to try and take over the world and then fail on an epicly funny scale. The two characters also play very well off one another.
5. Queer As Folk(U.S.) Queer As Folk was quite the daring show when it first aired on HBO in 2000. What this show did was bring out a little more of a realistic approach to the portrayal of gay characters and the people who love them. Not only does it follow the journeys of a group of gay men and women but it’s also a story about humanity in general. Most viewers would say the show depicts all the different kinds of gay people, but I’d like to say that it depicts pretty much all the different kinds of people in any given group, showing that the gays are just like everyone else. They have their good moments and their bad ones.
4. Modern Family Modern Family is simply hilarious and I hope to be re-watching it again one day and saying, “Wow, that really was a great show”. The show depicts the structure of what many families in today’s world look like. I feel that is important because nobody seems to have the typical family anymore so it is time that our TV shows adapted to that. I think the best thing about Modern Family is that you, as a viewer, can grow so fond of these characters and almost feel as though they are people you know. By the end of every episode I kind of look at them and say that’s what my family is like in a way.
3. Buffy The Vampire Slayer My top three shows had a nice brawl for the top spot. It was a little difficult to decide what should be where. Buffy rightfully belongs in the Top 3 simply because it’s badass, it’s heartfelt, and it’s meaningful. I don’t think there is one character on this show I can say I don’t like, and that includes Riley or Professor Walsh. They all have their own great attributes. Another thing that makes Buffy so spectacular is the dialogue. It can be tremendously witty, or sad, or even infuriating. Possibly one of the coolest things about Buffy is that you watch the characters grow from the second they come on the screen. Buffy is a coming of age story about life, responsibility, and friendship.
2. Six Feet Under Once again it was so hard to pick a spot for this. What is there to say about Six Feet Under? It’s brilliantly written. It’s sad. It’s happy. It’s entertaining, yet solemn. I feel it, like Buffy or Modern Family, has characters that make you say “I know that person”. The show is a reflection of life. What have you done? What haven’t you done? Was it right or wrong? Will people judge me for it? Should I keep it secret? How important is family to me? Does all that really matter? Six Feet Under is a show that shouldn’t be addicting but is.
1. The Simpsons My favourite television show of all time, The Simpsons, paved way for the likes of South Park and Family Guy. The reason this show is my favourite is because it makes me laugh all the time and I love laughing. Yes it’s true, the show has kind of lost it’s way in recent years but The Simpsons in it’s prime was funnier than pretty much all the comedies on TV today. It was a pop culture phenomenon. As South Park stated The Simpsons did everything. I can’t think of one event in my life that I can’t relate to an episode of the FOX series.

A Little Bit of Love for Son’s Of Anarchy Readers Discretion Advised
A Little Bit of Love for Son’s Of Anarchy
If there is a show on television today that could be called a Male Soap Opera it is Son’s of Anarchy. It is my favorite televisions how currently on the air, and it will end up going down as one of my favorite shows of all time. Sons of Anarchy, is set in the fictional town of Charming, California. The city has small town values and the motorcycle club SAMCRO (Sons of Anarchy Motorcycle Club Redwood Originals) keeps the peace in the small town. Or they attempt to. The series begins with a bombing at a warehouse. The warehouse was actually a front for storing the heavy artillery guns that the Sons sell to the Gang Bangers in Oakland. And thus begins it all for the Sons of Anarchy. The television show is created by the genius Kurt Sutter. He is also the head writer on the majority of the episodes. The three main characters of the show are Jackson “Jax” Teller, Gemma Teller- Morrow and Clay Morrow. Jax is the main protagonist, and by far the coolest on the show. He is the son of the deceased Jon Teller and the ever scheming Gemma. In the beginning of the series Jax’s ex wife the druggy Wendy gives birth to their son Able. So this leads the series long issue for Jax how to be both a father and the Vice President and Future of the Sons of Anarchy? Gemma Teller-Morrow loves her family. But she can’t help but be a manipulative bitch. I love her character though and have stated before she is one of my favorite female characters of all time. Gemma has had hardship in her life. But there is no doubt that she loves her family and loves her MC. Clay Morrow is one bad ass bastard and Ron Perlman plays him to perfection. One minute you love Clay the next you hate his guts. I don’t want to give too much away regarding the plot of the television show. I also feel that Kurt Sutter has created many amazing supporting characters. Be it Tara, Unser, Tig, Piney, Opie, Juice, Bobby Elvis, Chibs, Half Sack, Happy, Kozik or even Chucky (He suffers from Compulsive Masturbation Disorder), Kurt Sutter and his crew know how to utilize all these characters and never make the show feel bloated. If anything you crave to see more of these characters. I have loved every episode of this series and never found there to be a down episode in the bunch. The show is full of violence and graphic language, which of course I love. But it also has a lot of heart. There are great moments where you really feel the love between all of these characters. Even if they get into a fist fight you still feel that they are brothers and would do anything for one another. As I said it is a Soap Opera for guys. But just as many women love the show. And if you ladies want Eye Candy I hear Charlie Hunam as Jax Teller is pretty easy on the eyes. I own every season of this show (except 4 which isn’t out on dvd yet) and have bought my father all of the seasons for Christmas. I highly recommend if you have not watched this show that you do watch it.

The Thursday TV Bin –Freaks and Geeks
The Thursday TV Bin –Freaks and Geeks
So I decided that I am going to attempt to write a weekly column about Television Shows that are no longer on the air but nonetheless shows that I have loved. Most of these shows have taken up large portions of my television watching time. Some of the shows lasted several seasons and some only one. Some I had seen during their original run, others I picked up on DVD. I will try to only post about shows that I have seen their entire run. I mean shows like All In The Family and Married…. With Children were great but I probably haven’t seen even a quarter of their entire episodes. So I will not be talking about them. If you have any suggestions for shows that you want me to speak about post them on the blog. Until then sit back and read my article on the first show I will pull out of the Bin.
Freaks and Geeks
I never watched this show on it’s original television run. I heard a lot about it on various message boards and wanted to see what all the hype and discord about the early cancellation was about. I picked up the series and went home and proceeded to watch all 18 episodes within a very short time frame. I was hooked from the first episode. It was funny, it was heartfelt, I could relate with the characters and I loved the music and the opening credits where everyone was getting their horrible yearbook pictures taken all to the tune of Joan Jett’s Bad Reputation. Freaks and Geeks was created by Paul Feig (Bridesmaids) and Executive Produced by Judd Apatow (40 Year Old Virgin, Knocked Up). The show takes place at William McKinley High School in the school year of 1980-1981. The setting for the show is a fictional Detroit suburb called Chippewa. The main characters are broken into two groups The Geeks consisting of Sam Weir (John Francis Dailey), Neil Schweiber (Sam Levinne) and Bill Haverchuk (Martin Starr) and the Freaks consisting of Lindsay Weir(Linda Cardellini), Daniel Desario(James Franco), Nick Andropolis (Jason Segel), Ken Miller (Seth Rogen) and Kim Kelly (Busy Phillips). The two siblings Lindsay and Sam are the main protagonist of the show.
Freaks and Geeks begins as Lindsay is in the crux of life change. She is transforming from the responsible, good girl, academic to someone who is looking to have a little more fun in high school with the slacker crowd. There is a great deal of character development on this show and I loved each character for different reasons. The geeks made me laugh with their love of Star Wars and inability to talk to girls. The show also made you feel for these guys. As they are bullied, taunted and made to feel socially outcast. I loved the Freaks too because they were just to fun. But they also were somewhat outcasts. They were the stoners. They were the ones who listened to the great rock music and heavy metal. They fit in with their own crowd but didn’t associate with the jocks or the preppy’s. You also felt for the Freaks because no one took them seriously or thought they would amount to anything.
The cast was outstanding and many of them have gone on to be huge stars. The Freaks seem to be leading that with James Franco, Seth Rogen and Jason Segel all being prominent stars in movies or television. Judd Apatow also went on to great success in writing, directing and producing after this show was cancelled. And the creator Paul Feig has directed and written for many great TV shows and also directed Bridesmaids.
In closing I would like to say that there was not a down episode of the 18 that were aired. I loved all 18 and have watched them repeatedly. I loved the music that they played during the episodes. I loved the storylines and could relate with a lot of them. I went to High School 10 years after the show was set and there were some similarities. Some of the episodes just made you laugh out loud while others were more sensitive and intimate. If you have not seen Freaks and Geeks I suggest you go to your local DVD store and purchase it ASAP.

New Jennifer Love Hewitt TV show The Client List to air this Sunday on Lifetime Network
Lifetime Network is going to begin airing the new Jennifer Love Hewitt and Naturi Naughton television show The Client List. The television show is about an prostitutes at a massage parlous. Jennifer and Naturi are both beautiful ladies and obviously the content is titillating and provocative.
In an interview I read here on E News http://ca.eonline.com/news/jennifer_love_hewitt_strips_down_play/304637 Naturi Naughton stated that the show was very classy and that there would be no nudity. In my opinion to do a show like this justice it would need to be on a Basic Cable network like HBO, Showtime or Starz network. I will check out the first episode to see how it is and if it can hold my interest. I have had a crush on Jennifer Love Hewitt for years but even that wasn’t enough to make me tune into the Ghost Whisperer. Mind you that was a fairly popular show. Hewitt or JLH, as I like to call her has had success over the years in things like Party of Five, Can’t Hardly Wait, I Know What You Did Last Summer and the sequel I Still Know What You Did Last Summer.

Sonar Developing Hellraiser: The Series
Sonar entertainment is hard at work on a new television series surrounding the Hellraiser film franchise. This is what they had to say about the series:
"One of the most successful (and terrifying) franchises in film history is ready for its weekly television debut. For over 25 years, fans have followed the exploits of an insidious villain named Pinhead, summoned from a nightmarish underworld by an ancient puzzle box. He will seduce you with power and tempt you with fear, until your soul belongs to him. Now, for the first time, a weekly series set in the fantastic realm of Hellraiser will thrill audiences worldwide."

A Little Bit of Love for Californication- Reader Discretion advised
Top Ten Tuesdays
The Top 10 Male Television Characters
After doing a Top 10 female TV characters list I thought I should name the Top 10 male characters list next.... so here it is!
10. Nate Fisher(Six Feet Under)Nate is one of those characters that really resonates with me. He is kind, down to earth, and of course goes through his rough times. He is an amazing father figure to his daughter Maya. He also has amazing chemistry with the love of his life Brenda. After all this is said, Nate does not back down when it comes to the really trying times in his life, although it's apparent that he really struggles not to give into the pressures of everyday life.
9. Stewie Griffin(Family Guy)Stewie possibly one of the most controversial cartoon characters every created. In the early episodes he is constantly coming up with ways to ill his mother, Lois, and eventually is somewhat successful at it. Another thing that makes Stewie a great character is that he seems to struggle with his sexuality(if a baby can really have much of a sexuality). Despite his vulgarity, Stewie offers up a lot of hilarity throughout the series.
8. Walter Bishop(Fringe)Walter Bishop is quite probably the best part of Fringe. The man has every great quality other than his looks. He's brilliant, funny, and warm-hearted. His storylines(usually involving his son, Peter Bishop) are among the best on the show and are well written. Dr. Bishop's history is fascinating. Walter's bad memory and abstract mind are the things that continue to draw the hardcore fans to the series.
7. Phil Dunphy(Modern Family)One of the best TV dad's on the air today takes the #7 spot. This is due to Phil's whitty sense of humour but ever-kind demeanor. Phil is a big, loveable geek who's funny moments continue to get better and better. I also find the scenes where Phil spends time with his son Luke so amazingly well-done. They are a true father/son team and one of the best parent/child relationships ever to grace the television screens.
6. Theodore Bagwell(Prison Break)This character is one of the most despicable of all. But one of the most entertaining. This is a character you just can't turn your back on. He is a repeated sex-offender, murderer, and pedophile. He is the driving villain of the show for the first two seasons of Prison Break. There is nothing that this character will not do to get himself one step ahead of the game.
5. Jack Bauer(24)Jack is the hero that the world needs today: a dedicated, selfless person who can kick ass when it needs to be kicked. Jack has lost a lot throughout the course of the series, including members of his family. He's had friends turn against him. He's been brutally tortured. Pretty much any horrible thing you could imagine has happened to Jack and he deals with it by picking of terrorists one by one.
4. Spike(Buffy The Vampire Slayer)Spike is awesome. Up until his first appearance in season 2 Buffy never really had a villain that really put her in her place. Spike was her first real challenge. Eventually Spike is captured by the military-run group the initiative and a chip is placed in his head that stops him from hurting people. These leads to some really great character development and causes Buffy to question Spike's intentions a lot more than she used to. Spike is a good example of how a bad character can turn good and still be badass.
3. Benjamin Linus(Lost)This little bug-eyed creep is one of the driving forces behind Lost. He's manipulative and conniving and should not be trusted. One of the most notable things about this character is that he seems to have this great chemistry with John Locke(played by Terry O'Quinn). Ben will do absolutely anything protect the island including murder.
2. George Costanza(Seinfeld)Do I really need to justify my reasons for naming him #2 male television character? I think not.
1. Homer Simpson(The Simpsons)Few characters can really define a generation. Homer is one of those few. Yes he's an idiot, but that's why we love him. Homer paved the way for many of today's modern adult cartoon shows such as Family Guy and South Park. Not only is he funny, but Homer has heart and can be very sensitive. Oh and how many characters can say they ate ruffled chips while floating around in space. The answer: not many.

The Top 10 Female Television Characters
Ok so two days ago I asked site visitors to name their favorite female television characters. I got two awesome responses. One from Kyle Moffat and one from Jason Revington. Here are their respective Top 10 lists in no particular order
Kyle Moffat's Top 10 Female Television CharactersMary-Ann(True Blood)
Jessica(True Blood) Sookie Stackhouse(True Blood) Olivia Dunham(Fringe) Debbie Novotny(Queer As Folk) Daisy Adair(Dead Like Me) Ms. Frizzle(The Magic Schoolbus) Gloria(Modern Family) Louise Belcher(Bob's Burgers) Astrid(Fringe) |
Jason Revington's Top 10 Female Television CharactersGemma Teller(Sons Of Anarchy)
Rachel Berry(Glee) Santana Lopez(Glee) Lucritia(Spartacus) Nurse Jackie(Nurse Jackie) Tara Knowles(Sons Of Anarchy) Maggie Green(The Walking Dead) Britney S. Pierce(Glee) Sarah Walker(Chuck) Rose Tyler(Dr. Who) |
My Top 10 Female Television Characters
10. Kitty Forman(That '70s Show) Kitty is the motherly figure that everyone should have. She is undeniably loveable and wise. Completely quirky and did I mention she has one of the most infectious, amazing laughs ever on TV. Kitty cares about her family and goes to great extents to prove it.
9. Sue Sylvester(Glee) Sue is a fairly well-rounded although repetitive character that you cannot help but love regardless of how ruthless and mean she is. This woman will stop at nothing to put an end to McKinley High’s Glee club and has some of the funniest comeback rants on television.
8. Buffy(Buffy The Vampire Slayer)
Buffy is a character that many people watched grow up. As a viewer, you were always rooting for her. Buffy’s tough yet insecure personality was very relatable to any fan (female or male). Buffy also seems to have a great sense of humour, despite having to fulfill her duties as a vampire slayer and saving Sunnydale and the rest of the world from destruction. Oh and she kicks ass.
7. Faith(Buffy The Vampire Slayer) This girl is badass… Definitely my favorite slayer from Buffy The Vampire Slayer. Faith takes a dark turn during the series and proves to be one of Buffy’s most intimidating foes. Faith travels along a very troubled path and you can’t help but pitty her.
6. Marge Simpson(The Simpsons) This woman is simply iconic. The first of the animated characters on this list makes it on the list simply because she was able to put up with her husband Homer and their three kids. She also managed to get a few quirky lines in.
5. Gloria(Modern Family) Simply put, Gloria is hilarious. She is one of the best parts of Modern Family and makes me laugh every single week. I feel she will be a character I look back on for years to come.
4. Peg Bundy(Married With Children) Peggy makes it on the list because she is a character who is loved for her insults towards her husband Al. She is one of the few female characters who will neglect their husband in the same way she is neglected. Peg is not independent, however she is no pushover and is a different take on the typical housewife.
3. Debbie Novotny(Queer As Folk) Debbie is probably one of the best mother figures ever portrayed on television. She is a strong, independent woman who will never back down, especially when the going gets tough. She is a family woman and activist and has no issue sticking her nose where it may no belong and the fans love her for it!
2. Gretchen(Prison Break) Gretchen is one of the best female characters on television in recent years. On the show she is in charge of making sure an inmate is broken out of prison and will kick ass and even murder if she has to. Gretchen’s a tough cookie with ambition and no one in their right mind would ever f*** with her. You hate her so much that you love her.
1. Willow Rosenburg(Buffy The Vampire Slayer) Yes, Willow deserves to be #1. This girl has stood by Buffy since day one and never looked back. Her eventual experimentation with dark magic turns her into Buffy’s worst nightmare. And yet, you still love her. Willow brought us some of the best storylines on Buffy as far as I’m concerned. Willow Rosenburg: intelligent… flawed… insecure… relatable.

News has it that The Walking Dead graphic novel artist Tony Moore is suing creator Robert Kirkman due to his belief that he had been "duped into assigning his interest in the material over to Kirkman, who has since gone on to fame and fortune.duped into assigning his interest in the material over to Kirkman, who has since gone on to fame and fortune".

Brothers & Sisters: Looking Back
After finally finishing all five seasons of the ABC series Brothers & Sisters I have decided to discuss my thoughts on the series as a whole.
The show stars Sally Field, Calista Flockhart, Robe Lowe, Rachel Griffiths, Matthew Rhys, Ron Rifkin, Balthazar Getty, Patricia Wettig, and many more.
The show follows a Pasadena family, The Walkers, who try to deal with the situations that come their way that occur due to the event of their father William’s death.
Every character with the exception of eldest brother Tommy and his wife Julia has fantastic acting moments throughout the series. This is especially true in the case of Sally Field’s character Nora Walker and Calista Flockhart’s Kitty Walker.
The first two seasons focus on the family trying to accept the fact that William had an affair with Holly Harper(Wettig) and keep their family business, Ojai foods, from going under. The family tries to have a relationship with Rachel, Holly’s daughter who is thought to be William Walker’s child.
The next couple of seasons deal with the issues of cancer in the family, marriages and, and coming out stories.
The show deals with political issues, especially those dealing with homosexuality and homophobia, throughout, as Kitty Walker and Robert McCallister(Robe Lowe) try to win a presidency.
On the whole the series is wonderful. It is well thought out and deserves to be recognized, although it’s ending was mediocre at best. Brothers And Sisters is a show about the importance of family, a message that I feel is one of the most important of all.
I rank the seasons as follows
Best: Season 1
2nd Best: Season 3
3rd Best: Season 2
4th Best: Season 5
5th Best: Season 4

The Walking Dead Renewed For Third Season
Yes it's true, Our favorite show about the zombie apocalypse has been picked up for a third season. AMC has ordered another 16 episodes(which is more episodes than either of the first two seasons(with 6 and 13 episodes respectively). Let's hope season 2 will continue to go strong in the last half.

The New Midseason Premiere Poster For The Walking Dead!
Here it is! I'm happy with how bad-ass this poster looks despite it's simplicity. Let's hope this means there will be more zombie smashing in the second half of the season(although I still enjoyed the first half).

Glee Season 3 Episode 7- I Kissed A Girl
A great episode:) This one was all about songs by women for women and all of them turned out wonderfully. The episode dealt with Finn's plutonic feelings for Santana, Bieste's feelings for Cooter, and the electionn taking place at the school. Kurt almost gets suspended when Figgins finds out someone stuffed the ballots, but it is Rachel who ends up getting suspended(oh and she can't perform at sectionals). The biggest part of the episode was Santana coming out to her grandma and not getting the acceptance she was hoping for.
Songs from this episode included:
Pink's "Perfect" performed by Kurt and Blaine
Melissa Etheridge's "I'm The Only One" performed by Puck
Cyndi Lauper's "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" performed by Finn
Dolly Parton's "Jolene" performed by Bieste
Katy Perry's "I Kissed A Girl" performed by the female gleeks
and K.D. Lang's "Constant Craving" performed by New Directions and Troubletones

The Walking Dead Season 2 Episode 7- Pretty Much Dead Already
The search for Sophia continued. In this episode we watched as tensions continued to escalate between Shane and Rick, Shane and Lori, and Rick and Hershal. Hershal explained to Rick that he wanted the group to leave the property. Rick pleaded to stay. After everyone found out the barn was full of walkers Hershal showed Rick how to rangle them up and put them in the barn. Shane decided that it wasn't a good idea and let them out, shooting every last one in front of Hershal. Sophia was the last to come out of the barn, Rick decided to shoot her. Now we just have to wait until February to see what happens. A very good mid-season finale for sure.

Glee Season 3 Episodes 5 & 6
Episode 5: The First Time
McKinley puts on their show of West Side Story. All songs performed are from the play. Couples Rachel and Finn and Kurt and Blaine deal with the issue of whether or not to have sex. In the meantime a new warbler has his eyes set on Blaine, causing Kurt and Blaine to have an argument after the boys visit their first gay bar. In the end both couples end up having sex(offscreen). I thought this episode was well done, but I was really starting to get bored with the West Side Story songs.
Episode 6: Mash-Off
New Directions competes against the troubletones in a mash-up competition. After Santana bullies Finn and Rory, Finn calls her out and outs her to the school. Her secret isn't only spread through the school, but also through advertisements against Sue's political campaign. This seems to piss her off even more. Quinn and Puck both attempt to get close to Beth.
This episode is the best the show has done in a LONG time in my opinion. It focused on the character development and had some really great music as well. The songs performed include:
"Hot For Teacher" by Van Halen- performed by Puck and the boys.
A mash-up of "You And I" by Lady Gaga and "You And I" By Eddie Rabbit and Crystal Gayle- performed by Mr. Schuster and Shelby.
A mash-up of "One Way Or Another" by Blondie and "Hit Me With Your Best Shot" by Pat Benatar- performed by the competing Glee clubs.
A mash-up of "I Can't Go For That" and "You Make My Dreams" by Hall & Oates- performed by New Directions.
A mash-up of "Rumor Has It" and "Someone Like You" By Adele- performed by The Troubletones.

The Walking Dead Season 2 Episode 5- Chupacabra
The search for Sophia continues. Daryl is able to find a lead which may help to find her. Afterward he confronts his brother through hallucination and is attacked by walkers. At Hershal's farm the women prepare dinner, which he is seemingly uncomfortable with. He then also displays disapproval of his daughter's relationship with Glen. Lori continues to struggle with her pregnancy. Rick and Shane argue about whether looking for Sophia is in the best interest of the group. Andrea shoots Daryl as he arrives back at camp. It turns out that he was not killed. Glen opens the barn door to a ****load of walkers. The end.
This episode was good. The story has slowly been building during these last two episodes and I hope that Episode 6 will be non-stop action. I think the fans want more zombies and after two weeks with barely a walker in sight it's time. Great season so far!

The Walking Dead Season 2- Episodes 1 to 4
Alright so I got a little behind on watching this series but I am officially all caught up so I'm gonna share my thoughts.
Episode 1: What Lies Ahead
Ok so in the season 2 premiere the group runs into a bunch of abandoned cars on the highway which blocks their way. To make things worse a large group of walkers swarms them as they hide underneath vehicles. One of them attacks Andrea but with the help of Dale she is able to kill the zombie. Then one of the walkers spots the little girl Sophia. She runs off into the woods, Rick follows. Rick hides her and tells her to run once he has lead the zombies away from her. When he comes back she is gone but he can't seem to find her. The group goes out into the forest to find her. Rick then watches his son get shot while looking at a dear. My only issue with this episode: the zombies in the church.
Episode 2: Bloodletting
Otis, Carl's shooter makes an appearance and tells Rick to bring Carl to his father Hershal, who can help to save the boy. Shane and Otis are sent to a high school where they can find medical supplies. They find that it is infested with walkers. Dale fears that T-Dog may have contracted an infection from his wound in the premiere. Shane and Otis lock themselves inside the school while Lori and Rick deal with the fact that they might lose their son. No major issues with this episode except that it doesn't seem to have the feeling of urgency that it should given the characters' current dilemmas.
Episode 3: Save The Last One
The search for Sophia continues. Rick and Lori debate over keeping their son alive in a world over-run with walkers. Shane betrays Otis by shooting him in the leg, allowing the walkers to attack him, giving Shane the opportunity to escape. He lies to everyone about Otis' death. Excellent episode.
Episode 4: Cherokee Rose
The search for Sophia continues. Hershal tells Rick that his group should leave after Carl heals. Rick begs him to reconsider. Hershal states that he will consider it if they follow his rules. After finding a walker in the well the group decides to use Glenn as bait to pull it out, so that it does not infect the drinking water. This results in a close call for Glenn. When the pull the walker up it splits in half, blood poors down the well, infecting it. Glenn and Maggie head into town for supplies, where she offers him sex. Glenn then retrieves a pregnancy test that Lori asked for. Lori finds out she is pregnant. A lot happened in the episode but it seemed the slightest bit dull. Not horrible though.

Glee Season 3 Episode 3- Asian F
May I just start off by just stating that prior to this episode I never liked Mike Chang? But this episode turned my opinion of the character completely in the opposite direction.
The episode focused on how some of the students and staff at McKinley fall under pressure to someone else's expectations. The series continued on with some more West Side Story songs and Beyonce's "Run The World" and Coldplay's "Fix You". By the way I hated Run The World(and I don't mean just the Glee version). Matthew Morrison sang "Fix You" and honestly it was ok. But there seems to be a trend with Glee lately: despite all the musical choices the show has made the episodes can survive without them.
Last night we watched Mike Chang crack under pressure and then share a very special moment with his mother which was quite touching. Oh, and finally Mercedes got some semblence of a storyline, which makes her character less dull and boring as she competes with Rachel for the part of Maria in West Side Story. Emma also seems to face some pressure from her own parents when Will meets them for the first time and learns their nickname for her: Freaky Deaky.
Good job Glee. This may NOT be the BEST episode to date, but it definately is close.

Glee Season 3 Episode 2- I Am Unicorn
The episode was good, but not great.
The story was very strong with Shelby returning to the show for a 12-episode story arch. Both Shelby and Schuster share a few choice words with Quinn, and then Quinn begins her quest to get her baby back. Kurt begins his politcal campaign at the school while turning to Brittany to help him. Brittany decides to run against him. Kurt is also competing for the part of Tony in West Side Story however it seems like he may lose the role to his boyfriend Blaine. Meanwhile, Sue continues her own campaign against the arts.
Songs from this episode:
"Somewhere"
"I'm The Greatest Star"
"Something's Coming"
Overall I felt the episode lacked something.

Glee Season 3 Episode 1- The Purple Piano Project
Ok....
This episode was extremely well done.
I'm not even going to mention the musical numbers because although they were all ridiculously fun the episode did not center around them and seemed like it was written solely for the purpose of doing specific songs, like many of the episodes from season 2.
The episode focuses on the Glee club trying to bring in new members through something called The Purple Piano Project. Also, despite the fact that the show has dropped two former cast members, it really focused on the relationships between the characters. Especially Kurt and Rachel. They showed much growth and depth from even the end of last season as they are both looking to go to a college away from home. Quinn has turned into a bit of a rebel. Will and Emma are finally together and it seems as though the relationship is actually going to a good place. Sue is back to her old mean self once again, which is the way we like her. Oh and Santana gets kicked out of the glee club for lighting one of the purple pianos on fire.
Good job Glee, let's hope you can keep it up for the entire season.

Hannibal Is Coming To The Small Screen
Gaumont International Television (GIT) is working on bringing Hannibal Lecter to the small screen. The TV series entitled Hannibal will focus on Hannibal's early days, in which he tries to outwit his main opposition FBI agent Will Graham. I love the Hannibal Lecter film series so I am looking forward to following him on the small screen as well.

True Blood Season 4- Episode 12
"And When I Die"
After last week's amazing episode of True Blood I was a little disappointed with the finale. I felt that the first 20 minutes was utterly boring. But as the episode continued I became more and more interested.
The episode starts with Jesus discovering that Marnie has taken over Lafayette's body and she ends up killing him. She uses Lafayette to tie up Eric and Bill and attempts to burn them until Tara and Sookie discover that they are in danger. Then the dead begin to appear including Sookie's grandmother, Arlene's ex-fiance Rene, and of course the witch Antonia. Antonia and Gran then convince Marnie to leave with them. Eric and Bill feed off of Sookie in order to heal themselves. Faced with a choice Sookie decides not to be with either of them. Debbie attempts to kill Sookie but shoots Tara in the head by accident and then Sookie shoots Debbie. Is Tara dead? no idea yet. Jason and Jessica have sex again after Jason gets the crap beaten out of him by Hoyt. Bill and Eric kill Nan for some reason. This scene was done spectacularly but it seemed a little odd. Alcide discovers that Russell Edgington has apparently escaped and Lafayette discovers that he can talk with Jesus after death.
It was good but now we have to wait ten months until the premiere of season 5. Personally, I think the season 4 finale could have been better but was not a complete disaster. So, until next year True Blood, goodbye

True Blood Season 4- Episode 11
"Soul Of Fire"
SPOILER ALERT
Ok so.... last night's episode was probably one of the best that the show has EVER done.
Marnie still has a forcefield surrounding the Moon Goddess Emporium, which Bill, Eric, Jessica, and Pam are trying to blow up. Jason comes and convinces Bill and Eric not to do it on the grounds that Sookie is still inside. In the meantime Marnie kills Casey in self-defense and Jesus and Lafayette then learn that Antonia is trying to escape Marnie's body. Marnie casts a binding spell and forces Antonia back inside. Jesus and Lafayette take Casey into a room so that they can "heal her" knowing that full-well that she is completely dead.
Outside Pam, despite Eric and Bill's wishes, decides that she is gonna blow up the building anyway. The rocket she fires hits the forcefield and blows up, injuring Jason, who Jessica heals with her blood again.
Sam and Alcide find Marcus at Alcide's home with Debbie. Sam gets into a brawl with Marcus over Tommy's death. He chooses not to kill him but then Alcide ends up killing him anyway. Alcide ends his relationship with Debbie.
Marnie asks her covent to join hands and do a spell. They begin to make the vampires outside walk into the forcefield which is powered with the energy of the sun. Sookie disrupts the spell with a blast of energy. After harnessing energy from Casey's dead body Jesus and Lafayette are successful in separating Antonia from Marnie. The vampires come in and kill Roy and Marnie.
Andy, while trying to find his way out of the woods, runs into a fairy and has sex with her.
At the end of the show, it seems that Lafayette is being posessed by Marnie's spirit. Leaving fans with another cliffhanger.
The season finale is next Sunday. And I think it could be the best finale the show has done to date if it follows suite with last night's episode.

True Blood Season 4- Episode 7
"Cold Grey Light Of Dawn"
This week's episode picks up exactly where last week left off.
Marnie's body has now become completely inhabited by Antonia, who seeks revenge on all vampires. With the help of Tara Antonia is able to gather the other witches from the covent in order to cast a spell to make the vampires walk into the sun and meet the true death. Sam finds out that Tommy shape-shifted into him and caused a whole lot of trouble. After drinking Jessica's blood in the episode before last Jason sets out to save her from walking into the sun. Bill takes action and tries to get as many vampires tied down with silver chains so that they don't walk into the sunlight. That is essentially the episode in a nutshell. Oh and Pam is still rotting but seeking treatment and the episode ends in a cliffhanger that makes you want to see the next episode immediately.
The episode was probably the best episode since the season premiere. I like where it is going and hopefully it will remain on this course.

True Blood Season 4- Episode 6
"I Wish I Was The Moon"
Let's sum up the episode in less than 150 words:
Eric is arrested by Bill and locked up with Pam and Marnie. Marnie is once again possessed by an evil witch spirit. Jason fears that he is going to turn into a were-panther under the full moon and begins to flirt and confide in Jessica. Jesus' grandfather continues to be manipulative and it seems that Lafyette is possessed by something and ends up saving Jesus from poisoning. Bill tries to impose the true death on Eric near the end of the episode. Tara's girlfriend comes back and gives her a second chance. Pam attacks Tara. In the meantime Tommy becomes depressed and shifts into Sam and begins to cause a lot of trouble.
Overall the episode was very enjoyable but we are now mid-way through the season and they must be building towards something awesome!

A New Tales From The Crypt TV Series?
A new hour-long show of Tales From The Crypt is being planned and developed by Gil Adler, Producer of the original HBO TV series. There is no word yet on whether or not the Cryptkeeper character will return or whether the original voice of the character John Kassir will be featured.
As a fan of the series I am not sure how I feel about this. Hopefully it will air on HBO again so that we get everything that we expect out of Tales From The Crypt franchise.

True Blood Season 4- Episode 4
"I'm Alive and On Fire"
Although it wasn't the best episode of the season so far, the episode had it's moments. It starts out with Jason still being sexually abused by werepanthers until one of the younger ones helps him escape. Felton then follows him forcing Jason to kill him. Bill finds out that Portia Bellefleur is his descendent and then ends their relationship, or so it seems. Pam threatens Marnie due to the slow progress of reversing Eric's spell and Marnie, taken over by a witch spirit curses Pam and shows her her "true self", a disgusting rotting corpse. Tommy comes home to his parents and they capture him and plan to once again use him for their own vicious agenda.
Overall the episode was impressive and I can't wait to see what happens with Jason, Tommy, and Pam in future episodes.
